Just wanted to say you have a beautiful yard and that I know how you feel. I'm going through the same thing right now. This family moved in about 3 years ago to the house on my garden side. The house is very small and has only two bedrooms, but they have 7 kids. Their backyard is a mess and they have weeds growing up near my garden fence so I'm trying to spray weed killer through the fence so it doesn't grow into my yard. Last year the dad got them a basketball goal and for some reason they decided to put it right in front of my fence. I came home one day and half of my Butterfly Bush was all smashed and broken. I realized they had thrown their basketball into my garden. I was so upset. My husband went and talked to them but nothing changed until this summer they finally moved it. Also they have friends over by the dozen all the time. Unfortunately we have no fence in our front yard and they park their cars in a row right on the edge of our line. Their yard looks like a car lot and they have a broken down piece of junk van there also. They drive their cars through our grass to get in and out. We have complained to them several times about this but they just don't care. We try to park our cars in a way where they cannot drive through our yard but we are not always home. I want to put up a fence there but my husband says it's too expensive. Then I saw I want to plant some of those trees that stay green all year (cannot remember the name) as a way to block the view but husband says no. I'm tempted to do it anyway, but I am afraid they will just knock them over with their cars on purpose. I am growing vines and bushes along our backyard fence to block them out. I need to post pics so you can see what I mean. I keep hoping they will move out but they are buying the house not renting.

I love all animals. They all have a "place" in this world. Your cute story reminds me of a little skunk with the same problem as your coyote. Our neighbors had a mother skunk give birth under their front porch. It seems that for whatever reason, mom skunk decided to relocate her brood across the road to another neighbors shed. She led 3 little ones out from under the porch across the yard and road and up a bank to the new home. But a fourth little guy, an all white albino, got transfixed by a sprinkler that was watering the the yard. He didn't follow Mom across the road. Mom came back after him twice, nudging him and scolding, but the sprinkling water was too much for him to resist. Finally, while Mom was on the opposit side checking on the other three, the 15 year old neighbor girl ran into the yard and picked the wayward child and carried him across the street. She quickly plunked him down and retreated back home. Mom skunk did seem greatful for the help.

Our old dog had them. A friend of mine is a vet and she said they were just fatty rumors, nothing serious. They were big, but soft and didn't bother him. We never had them checked out by our own vet since my friend was not concerned about them. He was almost 17 when we finally put him down due to old age (he was a 75 lb lab so lived really long). If they concern you, perhaps get a second opinion. I trusted by my friend - would've used her as our primary vet but she works p/t at emergency clinic so we used a regular vet. I mentioned the bumps when she was over one day, she checked them out and kept an eye on them over the years but nothing ever came of them.

:-) It is indeed funny, what it has come to ! I know our senses have come to doubt everything ! That's not at all the case here. BTW the GURU is a monk... and has no link. If you are waiting for that, don't! Through out my "mess", I kept notes of the practical advice given by the "GURU". I was just going through old emails and found those notes, and thought I will post my story here as inspiration. But that's alright, pls ignore this, if you feel it was spam and I wasted your time. Perhaps if it ends up helping even one of those in "mess", it would be worth my time. BTW, I started a successful software startup company 2 yrs back.
