As you ponder all of this, if you have children, you must consider the impact of this decision for yourself AND your children, both now, and in the years ahead before they are on their own. Spend some time on the step family forum. In fact, I would read it in its entirety some evening. Because if you decide to move on (and who could blame you) if you have children, and he remarries someone else, who may or may not have children themselves, you must look at the bigger picture as a new spouse would now be involved in parenting and raising your children. This person may or may not have values that are similar to your own. Their presence will have an impact on your kids lives (if you have kids). It may be easier having him present as you get kids through their teenage years, if you are a parent. Tough stuff, indeed. Oh doggone it! Sorry you missed it. We, DH and I got home last week from our first cruise, 5 days on Carnival Inspiration. I must say, I did enjoy myself. BUT, my DH, who is NOT a people person, Just kept walking around saying to himself, me our friends, "Worst cruise ever!" He is such a party poop. I just went ahead and enjoyed myself, joined in a lot of activities, and really had a good time. It was on the 4th day that someone told him I was on stage and they were showing it on the tv. He finally caught it just before we debarked. On the cruise we did hear the sad stories of how air flights are cancelled and everyone said you must plan on flying the day before your cruise to make sure that doesn't happen. We have two greeters, that work different days. The lady, white hair, looks to be close to my age, always sits on her stool. Very friendly, and I generally stop and say something to her either going in or out They don't do returns anymore, by looking at them and putting the pink stamp on them. They are just friendly greeters.

Several years ago, when we were redoing the basement family room, I repeatedly asked my hubby about running cable outlets. Each time, he said "no, don't bother, the cable is only for the internet service." Of course, shortly after finishing the room, teenage daughter sets up her video game stuff and wants to move the tv to the adjacent wall. Hubby than asks me why if we can put in another cable outlet on that wall. I said sure but that's more money and that's why I asked you that question multiple times. So, he said to me "I know I said that, but why didn't you just do it anyway?" My husband is a consultant...he can think of many different ways to backpedal from a definite answer or to provide a intelligent-sounding meaningless answer to darn near any direct question. One time, my partner attempted to clarify one of his vague points..."So, I understand that you want the gutters to be the top priority, is that right?" "Well, yes, that is important and I would like to have it done soon but there's several other items that need to be done also. I don't think you should stop working on the current items just to get the gutter project finished" As always, it reminds me that the FBI does not have the 21,453 Most Wanted list instead of the 10 Most Wanted list. There's only so much space at the top of the priority list and someone has to make that list.
