How much does a Tapmaster cost??
Comments (12)Set your handles to the water temperature you'll use most often. Mine is set to tepid. The Tapmaster lets you use both hands with economy of motion and water. For example: Pick up slimy chicken breast and kitchen scissors. Tap and off to rinse breast. Trim that piece. Repeat. Water is not running entire time - just in short bursts necessary to rinse each piece. No need to touch handle with slimed hands to turn on and off. Great for rinsing dishes. Ours are currently inoperative and I miss them. DS came home for a weekend and for reasons unbeknownst to me, decided to do projects around the house which included oiling soapstone (appreciated) and dismantling Tapmasters (not appreciated). Someone else will have to figure out how to resurrect their operation- my tinkering has made it worse, I fear....See MoreHow much does it cost to correct a negative slope in the shower stall?
Comments (4)That would be a huge red flag for me because something is wrong with how the shower was constructed. I am not a professional but recently finished a remodel and learned quite a bit about showers (and other things) from the helpful professionals on this site. If the floor of the shower was not constructed properly, it might also mean the rest of the shower was also not constructed properly. I am in Los Angeles and my shower had to inspected three times to ensure that it was constructed properly and completely up to Code. As others have posted, fixing it is going to be expensive because it would almost certainly mean the entire shower would have to be demolished and then constructed properly. The waterproofing on a shower is all completely integrated between the floors and the walls - the tile is NOT what waterproofs the shower - the waterproofing is in the part behind the tiles that you can't see....See MoreHow much does a wall like this cost?
Comments (1)I would paint some swirls on the wall, or hire someone to do so, l and then cover with plexiglass. My guess is the plexiglass will cost more than the swirls, depending on the size of the wall. You could also get a similar look for less by omitting the plexiglass and covering the wall and painting with high gloss poly to give it a similar reflection....See MoreDoes anyone know how much a completely new staircase would cost?
Comments (5)Kim: I did some stair building and handrailing back in the day. I quit quoting them to people like yourself because every single time when the dreamers got the proposal, they woke up and said "No thank you" immediately. Your pictured stair is out of code as the glass guardrail doesn't have the proper gripable profile. The second pic is out for no rails at all. There are all kinds of really cool very dangerous pictures of stairs on the interwebby. Were I still in that business and you called me, I would ask if you're comfortable in the 50K range. If you said no, that would be the last time we spoke. Good luck, but remember, the contractor you want has heard this thousands of times, eats rejection as a snack, is highly skeptical of the leads he does run, and has a half-year wait for his services....See Moreazstoneconsulting
