Baking Fruit Pies - What am I doing wrong?

Hello,

The other day I made a blueberry pie, from scratch. I put the pie in at 425 for 1 hour. The pie looked beautiful (I lined the edges with foil to prevent burning), but when I cut the pie, there is hollow space between the crust and the filling. What am I doing wrong? Thanks, TammyPie
