Whiteflies are a chronic problem in a greenhouse. Once you get them, you have to manage them, all the while knowing that it's unlikely you'll get rid of them entirely. When you spray for whiteflies, you only need to coat the undersides of the leaves because that's where the critters hang out. As for the aphids -- are you certain that's what they are? When you say "eat the leaves" do you mean they make holes? If so, the critters aren't aphids. If they are aphids, the "water spray" should be strong enough to blast the critters from the plant. I like the direct approach -- squish 'em! Whatever you do against aphids you will have to repeat, repeat, repeat. The reason is that even if only one remains, she can re-populate the plant all by herself.

Mary, Did she tell you explicitly that the warranty would be good? Because I can't get her to write me back and answer my questions about the auction (like whether she is an authorized dealer of some sort). I looked at Rohl's web site and the warranty states it is non-transferable and I think has to be sold from an authorized dealer (so maybe if she gave you some original receipt to use if needed). And maybe to pay almost 50% of retail, it doesn't matter if the warranty isn't valid. My other concern, based on reading the Rohl warranty, was that it might be a fixture made for another country where the plumbing standards are different in some way. I have no idea if this is legit, but Rohl's warranty would have you think that you shouldn't use things from one country in another country in some cases. Of course, they may have a vested interest in scaring me off from that so I don't go to Canada to buy the same faucet cheaper or something like that. I don't know. Either way, I've sent 2 questions to the seller over the past few days and have gotten no response which makes me a little nervous. You had good communication with her though? It's SUCH a good price.

@Anne Strahan - in answer to your question, you would be someone called a ”necro poster”. A derisive term because typically people who necro post never read the whole thread (or even some of it). They just reply to the last post that killed the conversation in the first place lo those many years ago. The information carried by zombie posts does not have the value that users talking to each other today would, because a fresh thread would have more current information. More importantly, the necro poster bumps down current threads started by someone right now who is eagerly awaiting responses. When those current threads are bumped down, they don’t get the same level of attention. Consequently, the avoidance of necro posting is one of the longest running forum etiquette rules. You can ignore of course. I am just answering your recent question.

@Circus Peanut Not sure! It looks like one of the old hose-style ones, so maybe the nozzle twists? It is definitely the closest to what I was looking for, style-wise, but now I think they're pulling a fast one with the company name. This is not a NYC-based Watermark Designs faucet (the price should have been a tip off!), but from the Watermark Fixtures in Louisiana which seems to be far less reliable a company. This faucet isn't cheap, but it's reasonable enough that I could try it and then replace with a Chicago Faucets one for less than the Waterstone Rube Goldberg contraption if I don't like it!
