No........... I am living amongst a bunch of people that do not understand my plant obsession, even my mother who's mother was a garden extrodinaire (the woman could grow anything) doesn't understand, but she did get me a digital camera (WHOO WHOO) for my birthday:):) I have already gone out and taken pics of my pine tree and what the ice did to it (and the branch that now has no pine needles on it because of a careless you know what!) I got a new wedding set from hubby, the originals were stolen off my microwave and the guy that did my set, he set his own, all were totally original, he went out of buisness:(( I have a set that I went out and got from Wal-Mart just so I would have something on my finger, but we finally picked out one that is similar to my first set, and I don't care where I work, this time it is staying on my finger! I worked at a turkey farm working the birds and was afraid of losing it out there so I didn't wear it to work, hubby had a employee in the house and was writing up a estimate, next time I went to put it on it was gone, he was the only other person then us in the house so I assumed..... I have been looking at all the hosta sites here lately, missed out on the Hill Gardens sale:( then I went over to Jims Hostas and although he has some wonderful Hostas all I could do was dream, some heavy duty price tags there! I know there is a hosta nursery somewhere around here, someone mentioned it one time, but I can't find it, want to go visit it this year, if you can believe it I have never been to a nursery where they specialize in just hosta:( that is my goal this spring, and by golly I may make it! michelle

Jasdip, the KT is listed as my favorite site, (Been a Garden Web member since I got my first PC, in !997.) but ever since iVillage bought GW, we never know what might change. A lot of KTers don't have a birthday listed on their profile; I guess that is their choice, or not. Any way, at least I still know when mine is! Susan, that isn't my helmet; it is my DGS's DW's. They ride a lot. He would never have taken me with out it. But I didn't really like the "Harley helmet hairdo" when I saw the pic. The only other time I rode was once, at their house, around the block, so this was my maiden voyage. I appreciate all your kind, and flattering, replies. If there is a reason for my being at this age, it is because I am not a worrier, and I prefer to use common sense and logic in all things and the BIGGIE: I truly believe that laughter is the best medicine. I love (good, clean) humor and try my best to spread it around. The cupcake girl's DH is the photographer, but he didn't take any of the refreshment tables. But if I did this right, here is a commercial that a radio station did for them a while back. Sue P.S. Sylvia, you better hurry up and grow up! Uptown Gal -- Oh, I told everyone at church about it today . . . and we did get a good laugh! And Wal Mart was thankful, I am sure, that I didn't take a picture of it . . . because I would have posted it on Facebook! (I kept standing there while I was waiting telling management that "Gee, I forgot to take a picture of it, how silly of me" and they're thinking "thank heaven she did not take a picture of it"!

I always remember your birthday because mine is the day after. Hope that you have a wonderful day today. Mine will be busy cleaning and getting ready for the birthday party DH is having for me tomorrow. Some party, I have to clean house, but everyone is bringing the snacks for the football game tomorrow night so that is fine with me...Go Huskers:)

Thank you all for your birthday wishes. And Joe for your Poem. That was so sweet of you.

It has been one of those weeks, what with a toothache and being on antibiotics so I didn't much feel like celebrating either our anniversary (our 29th) or my birthday (#56). The champagne is still in the fridge waiting for another day.

Last night we made a run down to Victoria to Home Depot. Moe needed a new drill. Costco and my favourite new wine store are in the same area so killed a few birds with one stone. Dinner ended up being a quick burger and fries at Harveys. A fast food burger joint.

Thankfully the tooth has eased up, which is a good thing since my appointment with the specialist isn't until September 17th.

Prime Rib is on the menu tonight.

I can't believe you are 56. After seeing your picture, I would have guessed ten years younger, no lie. Twenty nine years married -- good for you!

Well, I'm late, but wish you a very happy Birthday! It sounds like you're about to really celebrate with Prime Rib on the menu. I think this would be a good year to drag out the birthday celebration, if you know what I mean!
