how to remove body odor from clothes..
Comments (8)Wash them, according to the care instructions, and hang them outdoors to dry in the sun and fresh air. Use plenty of water - do not overload the washer. Add baking soda (half cup to one cup per load) And do not let dirty clothing sit in hampers or piles on your floor - the bacteria that cause 'body odor" can live in dirty laundry and increase the smell....See MoreGetting rid of rubber odor in new dryer?
Comments (8)Hi Looser! Sorry, it's been a busy week! The Cabrio dryer and the Duet 9200 (not the Sport) both are 7.0 cubic foot capacity. I got the Duet dryer because I refused to get a dryer with a top lint filter. I used one for 3 years when living in a apartment over my in-laws, and I hated trying to clean it, lint would fly everywhere. My family (myself included til I got the Cabrio in March) has always owned Kenmores. The Kenmore dryers had front lint filters (by the door) and they are much easier to clean, and easy to take off the front panel to get out any lint that might bypass the filter. So that is why I have a Cabrio washer and a Duet dryer. I really like the Duet dryer, it is very quiet, easy to use, and really does not take that much longer to dry than my old Kenmore. It does, however, dry better. The sensor dry on the Duet actually leaves cloths dry when set at normal, the Kenmore left thicker items damp even when set to more dry. Only time will tell how happy I will be with the Duet, but my initial reaction is I made the right choice. So do you have a new Bosch set? What did you get? I started with the Bosch 500 and switched to the Cabrio, my floor is "flexible" (that is what they told me) so I can't use a front loader. I love my Cabrio washer, but could not get past the filter with the dryer - plus I have read that it is rather loud. Something you just mentioned! Since my laundry room shares a wall with my kitchen and dining room I like to keep things quiet if possible....See MoreHow do you get rid of pet (parrot) Odor?
Comments (5)The shavings may absorb some of the moisture in the droppings, but the odor will remain, as you have experienced. I've used one litter made from ground corncobs and another made from recycled newspaper. Both were safe, but were only slightly better than pine shavings for the odor. In my opinion, the best and safest cleanup/deodorizer for excrement is Pooh-Radicator (P-4 that effectively dissolves the ___ with no toxicity at all). I'll put a link below. I would clean the cage bottom with that, then cover it with paper that I changed daily. Alternatively, I think a little Simple Green mixed with water for cage cleaning and rinsed well afterward would be effective, but it does have its own scent. I'm sure you know that you must be extremely careful with the products you use around birds because of their delicate lungs. Here is a link that might be useful: Pooh-Radicator...See MoreGetting rid of pet odor
Comments (19)Yes, I did get rid of it. In our case it involved cleaning and repainting a concrete area with a shellac and then having our ducts cleaned. That said - I would not worry about the cats for the apartment if you get a good pet fee. Most places I am familiar with charge a non-refundable pet fee (sometimes plus a deposit) so things can be cleaned later. Our situation years ago was unusual. We were using a room under the stairs for the litter box. Our kids at times weren't diligent on cleaning the cat litter. I think because of the lack of air in the little room (no ventilation in it) that it made things worse. That is the only place where I had any problem. For example, I recently sold a different house and we had cats in it and I had no problem from cat odor....See Morexhappyx
