Worst movie experience was just lately. Ed and I got to the movie theater on time (which is a small miracle for us). We buy snacks and then hand the usher our tickets and he directs us to the theater that ours is playing in. We sit there for 20 minutes of commercials and I am getting antsy because the movie should have started by now. Then there is some more trivia junk playing for 10 more minutes, finally I got mad and walked out to the usher. I complained and he just looks at me kind of stupidly and tells me I can get a refund if I like. I tell him that is not the point. Some of us pay babysitters to go out and expect to only be gone so long! I call home, tell the sitter we will be later than I thought and go back in to the movie. After another 15 minutes of trailers the movie started... It turned out that the little doofus directed us to the wrong theater that was playing the same movie at a later time. D'OH! I wanted to bean him with a Goober!

Apparently they started chemo tonight. I hope everything goes better than expected. I keep thinking St. Jude but it isn't time yet. He doesn't meet the criteri yet.

This was from last night: "Little Man Posted 12 hours ago is finally peaceful and sleeping again. Back on the morphine to keep him calm. otherwise he is restless and crying. He can have that every 2 hours. The meds they started him on can cause this but they took away the loratab as it masks his temp. Still no word on the cultures. Pretty crazy. Hopefully, they come back soon w/ something, hopefully, it is nothing but i at least would like to know that. Please pray tonight for our new friend from here that is about Bradleys age who got to go home tonight:) one day that will be us. Though they did reassure me today that i get to practice playing nurse and learn how to give shots on tomatoes and oranges before i leave here so i can give them to Bradley when we do go home. I tried to make it clear to them that i am scared of needles. i have to close my eyes whenever i have gotten them or had blood drawn. When they give him shots i look away while holding his hand. SO this should be interesting. I asked if most parents cry the first time and are dramatic so i won't feel like the worst parent in the world:) They just basiscally nicely explained that as a parent you do what ever is necessary to save your kids life. They have a point and guess i'll learn to look at a needle. Anyways, his temp is still hanging on. Please keep up the prayers and your support has been awesome:)Pray for Bradley and Grandma tomorrow as we will both be at work for the first time and she is in charge:)" And an older update: he still has a temp. They have him now on the strongest meds possible. We don't have the final reports in but we don't have time to wait. His temp is not dropping. So as the nurse said they have called in the big guns to kick this. Lol...whatever works right? And i was not mistaken, there is no chemo this Friday. So that confusion was straightened up. Thank God for that and now we are just focusing on getting his numbers up so that we can get the shunt put in. He sat on my lap for 2 hours and cuddled. That was good for me and him. So back to work tomorrow. We really don't think the dr would do the surgery tomorrow afternoon so we should be safe. The earliest would be Friday i think. Then i'm sure if need be they would do it on the weekend in this type of situation too as we are going against time here. Thus meaning they have had the external drain in for over 10 days and now we are pushing the limits on going for about a month. Keep praying that his white count starts boosting up so he can do this surgery. He is now starting to lose what hair has grown back from the surgeries. Kinda crazy. I thought it would not bother me as he has it shaved but seeing it all over his pillow did make me sad. The reality of it. Keep up the prayers. Good to see alot has made it here this week. Went shopping today and didn't get as much bought as I was hoping for. DD will do some more for me next week. I owe so much to her for always being there for me. So glad your feeling better Anj and hope you continue to improve. I bet it is hard with only one auto with your busy schedule. Can hardly wait to see your blocks. Your weather sounds alot like ours. It's been in the teens but today while in town the sun came out and it hit the 20's.Woohoo Belle, seems odd anyone could have to many totes. It is nice that all of you will spend time together. Can't imagine what you've gone through. Our roads are pretty good most days. They've started using salt and that scares me for the future of our autos. May have to trade sooner than normal. They are a great bunch but it has taken me away from my painting. I now love doing tablescapes too. I ran into an old co-worker today and she said she would be coming to the office so we can catch up on the lastest. I'm so glad that most of my friends come and visit me there cuz I don't have alot of time to go see them like I use to. Did you start your Christmas decorating today? You are a smart woman to shop during the week. Town was so busy and it's hard running from store to store to find what gifts one wants. I forget to check on a couple of things and had to go back only to find out they didn't have it any way! I also left my purse in the resturant! Thank goodness when I returned it was still there. That was so scary. All I could do was think of all my cash, cr crds, checkbook, smart phone and tremble...Will say my prayers again tonight for the safe recovery. We are not sure when we will be moving the office with this weather. We have alot of snow and slush most days and I have no desire to try to move in that. We had a customer in and said the farmers almanac says that we will be getting warmer weather by the 10th and winter is almost over. I sure hope he's right. I haven't read the FA for several years but they use to be pretty close at predicting the weather. So are all of you cooking Christmas dinner? I will be but we haven't discussed all the details yet. Did you know that they have a turkey fryer that you can use inside your home now? DS wanted to buy one for us but since we have the outside one we didn't get it. In time I'm sure we will tho. That would be so nice to be able to cook out in the garage during bad weather. I best go over to Holidays and see what's new before heading to bed. I'm pretty tired after shopping all day and then wrapping gifts...
