Because the washer spins so fast, it can cause more creases in clothing. I shake each item to snap the wrinkles out prior to tossing in the dryer and that takes care of the problem. If that doesn't do it, you could slow down the spin speed. I usually don't use the perma-press cycle, rather the cotton cycle on normal or damp dry.

Any sensor-dry will have a problem with only 1 item as the item will rarely encounter the sensor. A time The will work better for single items.

What cycle did you use to wash the t-shirts? The cycles on the dryer are supposed to correspond with the washer cycles. I mainly use the cotton cycle for washing and drying.
So far, everything came out completely dry at the "regular dry" and "very dry" setting. I haven't experienced any serious wrinkles, but I have been using the dryer balls...not sure if they make a difference.

I used the perma press cycle on both washer and dryer. My choice to use perma press on t-shirts is from my experience with my previous washer and dryer.

It's been 20 years since I bought a new washer and dryer so I'm learning. And you guys are a big help. Next time I will try the cotton cycle and see if the t-shirts are less wrinkled.

I use the regular cotton cycles on the washer and the dryer, but I usually always shake out the clothes from the washer to the dryer, and I run the dryer with the Low temp/delicate button pressed.... I always use the very dry setting for towels and sheets, otherwise the regular or damp settings

I have not tried to dry a load without the dryer balls yet. I have received my 500 plus dryer last Tuesday and haven't really done that many loads yet.
The dryer balls are little rubber balls. You can get them at appliance stores, at Bed Bath & Beyond, at Amazon, etc. They are supposed to soften the clothes without the need for fabric softener and to decrease the drying time.
There have been a few good comments about them on this forum, so I bought a set of two for $9.99 at Frye's.

I have to do a few loads without them before I can really tell if they are effective. The load that included jeans and other clothes came out very soft and wrinke free. I did not use any fabric softener or dryer sheets. On a small load you can hear a slight thumping sound from the balls hitting the drum, but it is not very loud. The balls are fairly soft, so they don't damage the drum or the clothes. They have a pretty strong rubbery smell, so I ran them through the dishwasher before the first use. The smell is still there, but the clothes don't adopt that smell. They smell fresh and clean. I'll post an update after doing some scientific research...;-)

Another tip that might help is to use a warm water rinse and be sure to not let the wet laundry sit in the washer when it is done. Listen for the signal when it is done, go down and untwist/shake out the clothing and start the drying right away. (And obviously, don't let the dry clothing sit in the dryer either.)

PS. Now I'm tempted by the dryer balls and will keep an eye out for them.

I am still just doing laundry for me and my daughter, so it is tough to get enough laundry for my research project...;-)
I did a load of delicates without the dryer balls, but on those items I couldn't tell a difference in softness or drying time. I set the dryer to "damp", so the clothes really came out damp and I hung them up right away so they could dry without wrinkles.
I still think the dryer balls might have helped my jeans get so soft. They haven't been that soft after using dryer sheets in our old w/d.

This set is driving me nuts- got it 4-5 days ago and the washer runs 2 - 4 hours a load and the dryer is leaving my clothes damp- why so many good reviews on this set I am about to call lowes and tell them to come get it and I will take something else!

Not overloading
Have tried less HE Tide detergent (all the way down to the 1st line on the cap)
The washer seems balanced no knocking, spin is not the dry though-
No extra buttons pushed, just warm cotton or perm press.
Hot water all the way up and going in hot in washer.

Please someone help- it starts out at 45-1.5 hours and readjust almost immediately after loading water to 2.5-4 hours in wash- then add 1 hour in dry time- there is noooo way I am waiting 4-5 hours for ONE load to be done!
