Has anyone taken ownership of the new Bosh 500 Plus??

I ordered mine over three weeks ago and have not heard from the appliance store yet. All my other appliances are in but not the washer/dryer yet. I still have another couple of weeks before I need them installed so I am not too worried but would hate to hear BACKORDERED. Thanks,

I happened to move to Texas early to look for a job. I don't have a job yet, but being here made it possible for me to go ahead and order the 500 plus set on Sep 28. Lowes will get them into their regular line in mid October, so they put in a special order for me.

I received the washer today and the dryer will be delivered sometime next week. The delivery guys were nice, but they didn't level the machine (said it wasn't necessary because the floor was sturdy and the washer didn't wobble). The washer is in the kitchen on vinyl over concrete slab and the vibration is minimal even without any leveling. I am on my second load and I am really happy with it so far. Eventually I will check and level the washer, but you can't actually see it move. The slight vibration is just enough to let a small object walk across the top of the washer, but it is not noisy or anything.

In my first load I washed my daughter's very dirty socks (she ran around in the garage and outside in socks without shoes) and they came clean on the cotton/warm cycle without pretreating. I know our crappy TL would have left them just about as dirty as they went in! I am using the Sears Stain Fighting formula powder because there were a lot of good reviews on this forum about it. I like the smell and the clothes got clean with just half a scoop. At this rate the big bucket will last us a year or so. I didn't see any suds during the actual wash cycle, but the initial empty load had about half an inch of bubbles. The washer is very quiet and it looks very nice. I got the white version and I also got a white Bosch dishwasher (which we will install tomorrow or so).

I don't think you have to worry about the timely delivery of your washer and dryer. I am sure Bosch produces quite a few of them now to make sure that they won't be backordered. Lowes already discontinued the 700 and they told me they'll get the 500 plus and 800 in mid October. Of course I couldn't wait that long even though my in-laws live two houses down the street and they have a fairly decent TL. I'll keep using their dryer until the new one gets here...;-)

I ordered mine on September 13th. Pacific Sales called me last weekend, Sept 29 to say everything was in and ready for delivery. Unfortunately my laundry room is being redone and wonÂt be ready till the end of October so the washer and dryer will be on hold till then.
I ordered the silver ones and I was told the delay was due to the pedestals. The said they received the washer/dryer relatively quickly.

Looser, I'm glad to hear you were happy with your purchase. I hope mine will go just as smooth. I think I will also purchase the sears stain fighter. I'm also thinking about trying the Charlie soap, I'm not sure if the remarks on it are all hype or true. I tend to be skeptical of online only purchases...

I have a 2001 445 deere , it has only 80 hours on it , i have the curtis cab with hot water heat , which makes it pretty nice , i have only the 47 two stage blower , and basically thats all this tractor has to do . My mowers are wheelhorse 416-8 rd mower and a 312-8 with a rd mower i also have a 312-8 with a plow on it and a cab with heat piped into the cab and electric winch lifting the blade , i really enjoy winter , this year is pretty sorry as far as snow , almost like spring here

Keiko, I did indeed look for the Imperial Taro when I was at the Asian Supermarket, but did not find any there. It may not be the best time to try to find some, I don't know. Ah, an electric steamer - I yearn for one also. I must get one soon. I have to increase my veggie intake. I believe I actually could be a vegetarian (not a vegan), because I don't eat much meat anyway. But, the old blood pressure is starting to rise with the sun now, and I need to start watching my diet. Starches are definitely not good as they convert to sugars. But at least I can plant them. Rsieminski - for some reason, I got the impression that they get their supply from South America, but they actually sell them here in the states. I will have to check that out again. I would really like to have at least a couple of the species, e.g. brasiliense, as Michael has mentioned. If I have to pay those ungodly shipping rates, I think I will look elsewhere, thank you very much. Especially if they are just tiny little tubers. If I thought I was getting a hefty tuber, it might be a different story. I might have read something about the fact that the size of their tubers could vary substantially, but that doesn't tell me anything factually. A lot of room for messing around with my money there. I have some time to search around and check out other sources. Right now, I'm too scared to go check out my back yard. You would know this would be the year we have these ghastly, horrid, frigid temperatures in Oklahoma, after several mild winters. Ah, Oklahoma, how I hate it here. Wish I could move with my daughter to Columbia, SC. Doesn't get near as cold there, and I would feel much more secure with my lovelies in the ground (8b). Susan

Hey there I know this is an old topic, I have the BOSCH Nexxt 500 Mine it having an issues of just freezing in the Regular Wash mode, doesn't matter which one in that area, cold, warm, hot, and temp boost. They all start normal, but we leave then come back 45 mins later and it is frozen at 45 or 56, and it is random where it stops at. But never completes the wash cycle. Now if we turn it to off, then back to that area warm, hot whatever we had it on, it goes back to that time it was at and we can start it. But sometimes it freezes a second time or more. Also if we just do a quick wash cycle that completes no problem, goes all the way to completition and does the beep beep beep I am done sound. Any help?

OK, I think it's safe to say that the Bosch dryers are a wee bit overly sensitive to air flow. This is clearly estlablished. Here's a few tip's for EO1 sufferer's. I think the use of flex duct is out of the question to use with these dryers. The straight runs of the flex hose will collect as much lint as a 90 deg. bend smooth sided rigid duct, especially if the flex duct is not fully stretched out. Any flex duct that is not stretched out fully will trap lint like crazy. If you have excess duct, do not leave it bunched up. Stretch it out fully and cut off the excess if you must use it. Smooth sided rigid ducting will reduce lint build up but annual cleaning of any duct on a well used dryer is essential to proper dryer operation and maximum efficiency. Another option that will help people with EO1 syndrome (if feasable), is the use of oversized ducting. You can get adaptors that will allow the use of 5 or even 6 inch ducting that will help increase air flow in long runs of ducting. I don't know if the sensor is operated on temperature or air flow, but it appears that these dryers do not tolerate any air flow obstruction. Another thing to be looked at is proper installation of the duct work. Heat naturally rises and any duct work that flows downward will cause back pressure, just as if it were partially clogged. Any down flowing sections should be removed and rerouted to at least be level, but ultimately flowing upward. Any bends in the duct should be kept to a minimum. If you can get away with a 45 rather than a 90 deg. bend, do it. If possible, make the duct work flow upward all the way to the house vent and keep bends to a minimum. Make sure your outside vent has something on it to prevent critters from entering the duct work, especially if it's near ground level. Don't use a screen on the outside vent unless it has at least 3/4 inch square sized holes and clean it often too. Use foil tape to seal seams and it's a good idea to leave a seam untaped every 6 or 8 feet so that you can easily take the ducts apart for cleaning every year. Anyone who has had to remove that foil tape on a joint will know why I say to leave it off. It's not easy to remove! I found a vent duct brush with a 6 foot wire handle for $6 at a hardware store. A must have to clean the ducts. My wife has one of those ball shaped cob web broom things on an extendable handle. They work great for cleaning ducts too. If you're not into taking the ducts apart,you can buy these plastic things that are advertised as "heating vents" that go in line with your duct work so that you can open the vent and use the heat from your dryer to heat your basement or wherever. They fit in line with the duct work and they have a little lever on them to open and close the vent. If you don't mind 100% humidity in your basement they're fine, but they also allow you access to the vent for cleaning which is what I use them for . They're cheap and are easy to install. The only problem is that you can only clean in one direction when it's open so you'll have to put one every 8 or 10 feet if you have a long run. Just something to consider if you don't want to take the ducts apart for cleaning every year. Hope this helps. Happy duct cleaning!!

Thanks, since our hardwood flooring installer is holding us up I am sure it will be here in plenty of time.
It seems like every week we are further behind in the construction. It will be sooooo nice to have all my appliances in place and be living in our new house. I will also try the sears detg. So far I am very happy with the advice from this forum.

I have been using mine for about 10 days now. I also ordered the silver color. It runs quiet compared to my old maytag neptune. It does a great job. I especially like have the sanitary cycle. The dryer is also great, and it is huge. All I can say about the set is.....I love, love, love it!!!
