Personally, I don't think either of those two choices are too pastel, yet love the tints of Rainwashed, in particular! I would have loved to use that in my MBR, but had to settle for Rain instead, because there was too much hint of turquoise in Rainwashed to blend well with my blue accents.

If you do paint, I'd love to see pix when you're done - this is one of my most favorite colors! They both look great with white trim, and black accents or dark stained wood looks striking with these colors. What is the color of your dining table and chairs?

I also think Rainwashed is a beautiful color, but since most of the pictures you see of it are in bedrooms and bathrooms, I was concerned about it in a dining room. I just put the first coat on a sample board, so we'll see how that looks with a couple coats. I've been having a problem with finding a color that I like both during the day and at night. My dining table is an orangy maple (Ethan Allen Maison in the Rustique finish, which I'm hoping to get refinished in something like a dark walnut. I still need to buy new chairs and will probably do something in a neutral upholstery and dark wood frame.

We have SW Sea Salt in our master bath and though it's a very light color, I can guarantee you it's NOT pastel. LOL Both Sea Salt and Rainwashed are quite pretty once they've dried completely and really that's the key, when I used them, I noticed there is a difference once they completely dry and cure. Another color in that family that is also quite pretty but just a tad darker is Tradewinds. We used that color in another bathroom and even though it seemed pretty dark at first, it dried into a really pretty shade and wasn't too dark at all. I think any of these colors would be beautiful in any room. Just keep in mind, they are very soothing to be in which is why they're popular to use in bedrooms & baths, but if the mood you're after is light, airy and soothing, I can guarantee you, you're on the right track.
