Hi, friend cynic........glad you asked. First, his name isn't cory.LOL It seems pet names evolve from personalities. We call him Buster, but other names would fit as well, like, Dennis the menace, shadow or Andrea Agosi. Explanation: Dennis, We have had to cat-proof some things in the APT after getting up one morning and finding the garbage tipped over, the freezer and fridge doors wide open and a number of cabinet doors ajar. Shadow: he follows me, all day, room to room, or Andrea: he likes to play fetch with pompom balls and likes best to leap up in the air to swat the thing back at me with his paw, like he is playing tennis. In spite of all this, we are so enjoying him. Especially when he decides its cuddle time and no matter what I'm doing, he gets on my lap and completely relaxes. Thanks, so much for asking. What "Mom" doesn't like to brag about her "Kid". Dottie
I forgot to mention that Buster has appointed himself as bathroom monitor. No one can go in there and expect any privacy. When we shower, we lock the door or he will push it open and peek around the shower curtain. The first time he did that, it scared the heck out of me. LOL, Dottie
Whoa, did you make me laugh today! Yes, sounds like you have a handful but a friendly handful too. My cat follows and occasionally leads me to the bathroom. And she'll jump in my lap and bump her head against me, rub and sometimes settle down, of course purring all the time. When Sunny was around, the bathroom was (according to her) off limits to him. She'd sit guard and watch in case he tried to sneak up there.
Sounds like Buster is checking things out and keeping your apartment safe from mice and bugs. He'll likely settle down soon after he's checked things out thoroughly... or not! LOL I'm glad that he got such a good home. I know you're a perfect person to have a pet. He's quite lucky. Hope you enjoy each other a long, long time.
