Please don't email bunches of photos to people. Try to post them on Facebook or another site and send out the link to the people you want to share with.

Believe me, most everyone would much prefer to not get a massive email.

Upload them to a site like Photobucket.
Then, send a link to the pics.

I use Outlook Express. When you create a new mail, at the top it says "insert". Select "photo". Browse to the folder you want, highlight the image name you want, click OK. The image pops into your email. Done. Click send. Correct, don't send HUGE photos, or too many at one time. No need to waste time posting them somewhere else first.

Repeat....DO NOT do what oldfixer is telling you. DO NOT send people individual photos.

I don't see the harm in sending one favourite photo in an email. If you have lots that you want a person to see, then yes a photobucket link is the way to go.

I don't mind a pic by email. Much more than that would be bounced back as "file too large" (if you are attaching a 'folder' with multiple pictures). Just send me a link to Photobucket, or similar site, where I can view all of them. I won't go through an email clicking on a ton of thumbnails to open pics individually.

Hotmail uses Skydrive, which works just fine. My aunt has emailed me lots of pictures without any problems because the pictures aren't in the email, but rather on "the cloud". If you use hotmail, just send a photo email. The pictures will all go onto the cloud.

We send genealogy pictures/documents back and forth by email all the time. Open the mail and there it is, no thumbnails. Right click and save it. Sounds like emails work differently, which is not as easy as others(?) My ISP offers free web space. Use it to create a web site or your own storage area. I have photobucket for other reasons.

Jim, my brother (the world traveler) uses Dropbox. As the recipient, I find it very convenient to use. I've never used it as the sender, but I expect that it's pretty straightforward.

Dropbox works wonderful. I've used it when I took senior pictures for a friend's daughter. I sent her the photos through dropbox!!!!
