I just saw on WFD that you are all together tonight!!!!!!

I am so jealous and happy for you all. I'm sure it will be a wonderful evening -

Hi all, we just got back to the room from a fun night with Annie, Sherry and Roger. Honestly it was like old friends getting together for dinner out on a Saturday night....well I guess we really are old friends getting together for dinner out on a Saturday night!

We yaked and yaked and laughed lots. The food was great and the camraderie was fabulous. I could have stayed there all night but then again we were two blocks away at a hotel and Clive is a great DD !!! The others had a long drive home.

There are lots of pics , Annie did the food ones and Clive well......lets just say it was "run Forest run!!! LOL I've tried to coax him to put his pants back on and go out the car for the equipment he needs to upload the pics.....semms you'll have to wait until tomorrow for ours , maybe Annie wiil post hers earlier.

Clive loved the evening, he thinks we are a very,very lucky bunch to have met the way we have, The internet is a great connector of people who would otherwise never have crossed paths. I have to agree.

The evening ended with Clive blaring a rendition of Rte 66 on the stereo as we left the parking lot, roof down, heading for Rte 66

Thank Annie, Sherry and Roger we could never have asked for a better start to our adventure.

Oh and it seems that we have an open invite to a cottage weekend for all CFers intersted...to come visit sometime in July , Aug or Seot...Clive says timing is not an issue, he is nothing but available!

OMG...I'm sorry (laughing out loud...and snorting...)"endless supply of Beaver Flicks" just brought back a flood of really fun memories of the Michigan Run party at Annie's when I first met Roger and Elery. sol, Frances appears to be doing pretty well, she's worried about her hair and makeup and that's always a good sign. They are only allowing Elery's Dad to visit once a day, it's going to be a slow recovery since she's 80. Since Elery's Mom passed away a couple of years ago and his Dad married Frances, a childhood sweetheart, about a year after that, I just keep praying that the poor guy doesn't have to lose another spouse so soon. She's 80 and he's 84, they got married on Valentine's Day, 2006. Annie

Maggie, I'm a Gemini, sign of the twins. There's the "me" you all know, I'm just Annie. My friends and family know that side of me too. However, at work and when dealing with the public, I'm "Angela", or "The Pitbull". Definitely a good side and an evil side and I'll let you decide which is which. (grin) Tracey, I liked the raspberry ice cream but the pieces of chocolate truffle made it just too rich. I ate about half and gave the rest to Amanda. She couldn't finish it either, it was just too sweet. Frankly, I like plain vanilla the best. Colleen, isn't Australia a day behind us or something? So you're probably right on time. I went to the farm today and planted a flat of tomatoes, some sweet red peppers, some Tabasco and Serrano peppers, eggplant and helped the Monkey Princess plant her sunflowers and pumpkins. That's the last of the garden, finally in, I've been planting for about a month now, the potatoes are already nicely up, so are onions and cabbage and I pulled the first radish today. Then I picked up a pitchfork and headed for the barn and shoveled the calf pens for a while. The celebration didn't last long, that's for sure. Elery will be here tonight, maybe I can stretch it out for a couple more hours. (wink, wink, nudge, nudge) Annie

Sorry, David, it's hard to take a picture of myself, LOL, and I was so busy in the kitchen I didn't even think to take a picture of Mother! Gina, that is indeed a "spray on" tan. You know she didn't get that tan in Michigan in May, it's 51F and raining right now, not much beach time. :-) RR, it was a bit crazy but it all came together in the end, although I only got out of the kitchen long enough to watch the cake cutting, the bouquet and garter toss and I had ONE dance with the groom. Other than that, it was all cooking, serving and cleaning up. Ah well, it kept me out of trouble and it was Ashley's party, not mine. She was happy, so it's all good! David, I do have a long weekend and I think maybe I'll make Elery take me out for dinner for my birthday. I'm sure not baking a cake... Oh, and for those who wanted a picture of Bruvver, before he ate cake and lasagna and had punch and ate too much candy from the candy buffet and threw up, while his shirt was still white, here's Bruvver: Annie Annie

Everybody out there who is going to meet Sharon and Clive on this road trip...you are very very lucky. They were awesome! Funny and interesting and way cool. Annie and Roger and I all felt like we had known them forever. what fun and great food we all had. And we are planning a weekend in their cottage in Canada with them later this year. Woo hoo! Have a great time on Route 66 Sharon and Clive!

I knew it was going to be a good time... glad it was!

I'm just so bummed that I had to work. I tried to put it out of my thoughts but it didn't work, I was thinking about all the fun I was missing. Love you all!

Good internet friends are hard to come by. ~snicker~ Some of my favorite people are from here on the CF.
