Patak curry paste question

Hi all you curry fans! Last night I tried to duplicate a chicken curry recipe that I had at a local Asian Bistro restaurant - Red Thai Curried Chicken and Vegetables. I think I got the method right and the curry was good, but just not as hot spicy as the restaurant's. I used Patak's Mild curry paste and used the larger amount in the recipe but it was still not hot enough.

Should I add some cayenne pepper next time? I'm really worried about using the extra hot or vindaloo paste and they don't show a "medium" on their web site. I don't want to buy the extra hot and find it is tooooo fiery for my tastebuds.

I like Sriracha hot sauce but don't know if this would be the best ingredient to add heat to a curry. Would a Thai red curry paste be hotter than the Patak's?
