Miele T9802 Dryer checked out OK with Miele
Comments (22)Besides from the Normal (moisture sensing) cycle not working on a 100% synthetic load of gym clothes....Every other load (shirts, pants, shorts, towels, sheets, table cloths, napkins, jackets, etc...) come out flawlessly using Normal (moisture sensing). Does it annoy me that I have to use 45 Min Warm + gentle to dry synthetics? Yeah, a little. But, I think it is similar to the Miele washing machine quirks...Pre-Wash is labeled Heavy Wash, No soak option, after a cycle is complete, the drum does not tumble to "un-stick" clothes that are literally plastered to the stainless drum after a 1400rpm spin cycle, Cannot activate the drum light during a cycle, etc. etc.. My washer and dryer though, IMO, perform better than ANY OTHER make or model. As we know, or should know!!!, nothing is perfect. If Miele hadn't sent a Technician out, I would be very worried and upset, but since I was with the Tech the entire time during service...everything checked out. If this is a specific "problem/issue" with my T9802...then I'm just gonna have to deal with it, because I love this dryer!!! ;)...See MoreMiele Care Collection Fabric Softener
Comments (32)@larsi, I'll see how it does on a regular load, and whether the scent levels will be tolerable. I do like more scent on my towels and sheets than on clothes, so I'd be primarily using the Ariel for that anyway. I'm actually quite curious to try the Compact powders now, good thing I'm heading across the pond next month. :) As for Persil, I don't mind the Universal Megaperls scent, but really dislike the Color Megaperls and liquid scent. Kind of curious about the Megaperls Sensitive and the liquid version too, that might be on my list of things to pick up in Europe. I managed to get a box of Tide w/Bleach right before the scent change, still have quite a bit left. It is definitely a much more "adult" scent than what they have now, I don't think I'll be buying any more Tide till that changes (which I'm sure is a matter of waiting a couple of months). The w/Bleach liquid is also not to my taste at all....See MoreMiele Color Care Powder....First use!
Comments (6)Verdict: Love it!!! There are many detergents I like, many I hate and a few that I love...and Miele Care Collection powder for Colors is awesome! The scent is nearly (and sadly) gone after drying, I know some of you will love that, but I love the way the powder smelled in the bag/box. Clothes are very soft and silky, and just smell like clean, semi-unscented clothes. Also...LOVING my Miele dryer. The Electrolux is faster and for sure holds more, but wow, the Miele is whisper quiet and the lint screen, buttons, and build materials are Mercedes-Benz robust and thick!...See MoreMamaPinky....Tide Professional or Miele Care White?
Comments (38)@mamapinky, in your case, it's my opinion that appliances from that era weren't exactly BOL. I mean, you could purchase ANY dishwasher and get the exact same results. The same goes for ovens, and refrigerators. Things we're made, much much better then. Dishwashers actually used water. And, with Detergent's... formulated well, it didn't really make a difference what model you had. You'd still get a clean load of dishes. One of my favorite dishwashers, actually was a BOL GE Triton from a Disney Grand Floridian Resort Villa. I joke about that, because, they we're probably the cheapest, builder grade appliances they could find. But... every single load, would come out, completely immaculate. Even the tough stuff, like oatmeal stuck on bowls & stuck on egg, just rinsed completely away with the Phosphate Detergent packets they gave us. Like I said, older appliances, we're much better made. I don't think it really mattered what you bought ;)...See Morefahrenheit_451
