I saw it and liked it very much. Was surprised to learn later (after I came home and read up about the film and the story) that Georges was a true life person and that kind of made me happy to think about him and his story. I loved the 3D and think it adds something really special!

I liked it very much. It seemed to drag a bit here and there, but overall it was excellent. Actually, I'd go see it again. I did not know anything about Georges Melies, and I found that very interesting. I do rememeber that picture of the moon with the rocket hitting it. I've seen that somewhere before.

I'd like to say that I'm happy that you KT folks discuss movies! I can't seem to find anyplace else to get some recommendations and talk about them and the film forum here on GW is pretty dead. We try to see all or most, of the Oscar nominated films each year and it makes the Academy Awards kind of fun for us to watch.

I'm planning on seeing it tomorrow. It was at our theater in November and we missed it. Just lucky that they brought it back for a week. Woodie, my movie group tries to see as many of the Academy Awards nominated films or performances as possible, too. This year we're having an AA party.
