Saw Hank Williams Gravesite Yesterday

I went on an unexpected trip to Montgomery AL yesterday with my neighbor. She is originally from there and while we were there, she went by the cemetery where Hank Williams is buried. If a gravesite can be "pretty"..it was! I snapped a few pictures that didn't turn out too good because the sun was shining so bright.

This is both his and his wifes graves.

Almost all the graves have slabs on them. This is Hanks.

And, this is Audrey's (Note: hers has a pink guitar pick and his has a black pick)

The picks are made INTO the stone and can't be picked up.

But, we noticed something strange. On both slabs, there was a quarter and a dime. You can see the coins better in the picture of hers. It's like the coins had been placed there. Anyone could have picked them up, stuck them in their pocket and walked off.

This has really puzzled me! Any idea(s) why those coins were there? Guess I'm just wondering if they had some kind of symbolic meaning and what it might be.
