What can I do?

I purchased a munufactured home and just added a/c to the place.It is around 1200 sqft and the condenser i purchased is a 4 ton.I live in tucson az and the weather right now is 100deg. first day with the system on and it has not gone below 80 deg.The furnace when i moved in had no air filters in it at the time i purchased. So who knows how long it has been ran without them.The a-coil is new so i dont think its that that is dirty.Do i need to have somebody come out and clean in there?can i do it myself? And if that doesnt work would a upgrade in the fan motor be a option? Young kid that learns as he goes please give me a word of advice. Thanks

You should make sure the A/C company has matched the indoor blower with the size of the A/C.
Have a reputable company check the system out.

One problem with your type of application is the size of the supply and return ducts. You probably have a small sized supply duct down the center of the home. This should use a high velocity system, because of what they try to do. If you increase the air flow much more than what a 2-ton system needs, the air flow will be restricted too much to work. If you slow down the fan, you may get better cooling. The solution to the problem is to add additional duct work underneath the trailor. Use metal duct, to keep rats and animals out. Insulate the duct. It will need to be removed if you move the trailor, but it will allow the system to work properly.

Hi again, I'm sorry no one has come up with an answer. I think it is something fungal also, because of how the leaves get worse and all brown. Bugs can make swiss cheese of leaves, but the leaves don't seem to curl up and die. But I don't know what exact disease is attacking your plants. I even searched for buddleia diseases and pests and came up empty. Do you have a cooperative extension service, like how I have Cornell here, or a very good nursery near you? I would take samples in sealed plastic bags to be examined. I hope you find an answer, Remy

Cacbeary- I may be a little late with this posting, but, better late than never! I don't think it is sick at all for your mom to place a stepping stone at your father's grave. Everyone grieves differently. I think it is a terrific idea. I also think it is better than a bunch of fake flowers that you buy at Walmart. No offense to anyone who does this, I do this, too. Not everyone can have a stepping stone at their grave. Its a very lasting momento. I, for one, think it is very sweet and a suggestion that I may make to people who want to commerate their loved ones. It would also be great for kids to do and then as they get older it will always be there. I'm into it. Kelly

For the areas around/under the trees, it sounds to me like you're already doing the basics. Those areas will tend to dry and dense anyway. Adding more leaves is good, if you want to add more in bulk, wood chips (which you may be able to get free or for cost of delivery). I sometimes spread some cheap seeds around for some variety under there. If the trees are healthy, some forking or modest digging won't likely harm them (but may not be necessary either) - just don't hack dozens of substantial roots all at once. For ground around trees that's particularly dense or dry - a big pile of leaves or compost for a season or two (or longer), and the ground underneath will become much more soft and loose. I would say don't bother with anything expensive or try to bring in worm compost, for example - leave some/more leaves and wood chips and the like and let the local worms do the work. None of this should require particularly hard work, just spreading some volume of cheap organic materials.

So this is open on both sides and the back of the TV is exposed in the other room? Was this once a doorway or a passage way between two rooms? At first I thought it was a recessed space. It looks that the problem is not the floor, which does appear to run under it, but it looks as if it has been attached to the wall, made to look as if it were continuous with the wall, and you will need considerable wall repair once it is removed. I advise that you not worry yourself much about whether you have baskets on those shelves ,or whatever. It is your house and your stuff and it is not messy. Now that I realize that it is between rooms, or spaces, it looks awkward and I can see why you would want to remove it.

I would make sure that the evaporator is the same size as the outdoor unit. Being that the manufactured home is only 1200 sq.ft., i would tend to think it might be smaller than 4 tons. I am assuming since you said the evaporator was clean & new looking that you should also be able to see the data plate on it. Somewhere in the model # you should see a 48, ex: MDD48DSD is a standard 4 ton Man. Housing coil. If the nunber is smaller, say a 42 (3.5 ton) or even a 36 (3 ton), the you need to get a coil that is matched to the outdoor unit.

If the home is pretty new (with in 10 years) the blower assembly will have the ability to deliver a full 4 tons of air. Thats usually how they come from the factory. Makes it easier on the installers. So... if the trailer is 1600 sq.ft., the it gets a 4 ton condenser & coil and hi spd. on the indoor blower. If its a 1000 sq.ft. home, it get a 2.5 ton condenser & coil and blower get set at medium low.

Definitely check to make sure the coil and condenser are the same size.
