Breaking in my new Waffle Maker

User

I love my new toy. And I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked the waffles.

I make pancakes for Moe often, but I very seldom eat them myself.

For the first run, I decided to go with Jessica's recommendation and use the Waffles of Insane Greatness recipe. Love the flavour and texture, BUT, I think this batter is for a regular waffle and it is just slightly too thin for a Belgium waffle. Next time I will reduce the liquid just a little, maybe a 1/4 cup.

I also doubled the recipe, just in case I needed to make a couple of practice waffles. My main concern was whether or not to oil. The instructions say that this waffle maker does not need to be oiled. So I decided to take their word for it and not oil. And they came off the griddle perfectly. No sticking at all.

So now I have extra waffles. So thank you Sue for the advice on freezing. I will freeze the extras for another day.

Couldn't decide whether to go with Strawberries and whipped cream or

Butter and Maple Syrup

So I went with both.
