Easy breakfast wanted - grain and dairy free

I'm used to starting my day with a cup of coffee and something simple like peanut butter toast, cheese toast or a granola bar. These meet my morning protein needs. But I need to change that because I will be eating without grain, dairy, and preservatives, "flavorings" and other odd ingredients for the next two months. I can't seem to come up with foods equally simple that meet these requirements. Fruit would be easy, but wouldn't have the protein I need to start the day.

The only thing I've come up with is celery sticks with peanut butter or hummus. I'd love to hear any suggestions you have.
