I use Almay over Origins A Perfect World for Eyes or Estee Lauder's Idealist Refinishing Eye Serum. There's a new Almay product that combines concealer & brightener, but I haven't tried it.

Which Almay foundation do you use?

Believe it or not, I've found the absolute best concealer ever for me at Costco, because of a friend. It's Borghese, packaged with a very light foundation which is also great, natural, no parabens etc. -- the concealer, the foundation, and a WAY too dark powder were packaged for $15. The concealer itself retails for $29, usually. Here it is below.

I am amazed that I somehow tripped my way to finding it -- I never buy makeup from Costco -- but my friend's foundation looked so light but effective I wanted to try it. And voila :) The concealer is astounding -- I use the medium shade just straight, no mixing with the other tones, but the three tones give a fairly wide range of possibility to mix your own if necessary.

Stila is the best I have ever used.

I use Max Factor "Erase" I get at Walmart. Does the job.

Shee, I'm surprised you wear moisturizer in the summer unless you don't have the humidity with the heat.

I put moisturizer on my face several times a day in the winter but with the heat and humidity I can't wear it in the summer.

I've been through all kinds, it's annoying. So right now I'm using a combination that works well in the heat. Pat a little Cover Girl/Olay Simply Ageless Corrector creme under eye (it's a new product), then just a couple pats of Bare Minerals Summer Bisque powder concealer blended lightly on to 'set' the creme, because I'm outside in the wilting heat all the time. (I use a bigger brush for the BM, maybe 1/2" wide or so? ) No creasing, no wearing off, no eyeliner smudges. (It's not as gunky as it sounds, because I really don't like wearing a lot of makeup, especially in summer. Toss in some blush, eye shadow and liner and I'm done. ;) The Simply Ageless Corrector creme is kind of cool, it has white swirls mixed in with flesh color, so you can blend on your finger as you like. A little white blended in acts as a highlighter, perks up the under eye area. You have to play with it to get the right blend for your skin tone. You might find it's enough for you and you wouldn't need to use a second product over it like I do.

Oakley, The moisturizer I use if for combination/oily skin. It balances skin water to oil levels and doesn't feel greasy. I really love the stuff. I don't always use it during the day which is why I'm going to try the foundation without it and see how it goes.

I use this, but I'm not sure it's a true concealer. It's like a soft pale pink crayon. I put it in the corner of my eyes, under my eyes and also in the puppet lines beside my nose.

Dermablend cover creme. It's the best I've ever used and I was addicted to concealers when I was in my twenties.
I've been using it exclusively for at least 12 years.

Have used concealers since my teen years -- I use a green one to hide red problems (pimples and now veins etc.) and a yellow concealer to help hide dark circles. Both are older ones from Physicians Formula -- bought at CVS pharmacy or at Big Lots.

Also have an Estee Lauder one in very light too!

I use bare mineral's well rested. It has a yellow tone.

Have a look at Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer pots. I like this stuff. It comes in many shades. You ought to go to a store that carries it to get the right tone and try, but can then order from online vendors if necessary.

I have some spiders veins on my legs that I'm less than thrilled about. (Thanks Mom :) ) The before and after photos look pretty amazing!

I'd love to try the Bobbi Brown concealer. I've read nothing but good things about it. Unfortunately I'm a few hours away from a store. :(

There was a clinique concealer that I used to LOVE. Of course, they discontinued it. I'm interested in hearing the opinions here.

Shee - I wouldn't give up moisturizer - although if your skin is oily, maybe you could just do night creme. I wear moisturizer year round and we're here in the deep south - hot and humid. My skin isn't oily though - it leans toward dry. I spend alot of time outside and would never go without my moisturizer - or sunscreen for that matter!

Goldy - I have used a mineral makeup for years and love it. Is the concealer you use a powder or creme? I've not checked any of the mineral concealers, but can't imagine a powder for the undereye area. Please do share more! LOL I need concealer for undereye only.

Whoever mentioned Benefit's eye brightener - I love benefit products! I had a sample of that - you've made me remember that I liked it. Does a brightener replace the need for a concealer? And someone mentioned white in with the concealer. Doesn't that kind of highlight below the eyes? I know to be careful with too light a concealer so you don't get the racoon eye look (or look like someone who left sunglasses on while tanning LOL).

I've always heard dermablend was a great product - if you try this Shee, let us know.

I used to use Dermablend all the time, for years. I don't get dark circles w/bags under my eyes so much as that dark pigmented look from thin skin. (There is a name for that, IIRC, I just can't think of it.) But guess as my skin aged it started not working so well, got fine little creases in it. (It conceals better than anything I've tried, imo.)

tina, the Bare Minerals conceals surprisingly well for a powder, and it's not loose or flaky. I'll have to check out gdust's color, yellow is a good concealer on my skin tone. The Summer Bisque is more taupe and on the cool side, but still does the trick. (Even better in winter.) Mineral powder doesn't bother me a bit (and can't stress enough how much I don't like makeup, the less, the better.) ;) And the 'white stuff' in the Cover Girl/Olay Simply Ageless can be pretty bright, but that can be avoided by using mostly the flesh tone and dabbing just a bit of white in with it. I mix it right in the pot. It gives the eyes a more 'awake' look, not racoony, if that makes sense.

Clinique used to have a "Find Line" that was an 800# for discontinued products (depending on how far back it was discontinued). Check this out, they still have the # to call plus a link to a locater on their site. I've seen Clinique at Ulta also, if not discontinued ages ago maybe they would have it?
