Under eye concealer
Comments (17)I used to use Dermablend all the time, for years. I don't get dark circles w/bags under my eyes so much as that dark pigmented look from thin skin. (There is a name for that, IIRC, I just can't think of it.) But guess as my skin aged it started not working so well, got fine little creases in it. (It conceals better than anything I've tried, imo.) tina, the Bare Minerals conceals surprisingly well for a powder, and it's not loose or flaky. I'll have to check out gdust's color, yellow is a good concealer on my skin tone. The Summer Bisque is more taupe and on the cool side, but still does the trick. (Even better in winter.) Mineral powder doesn't bother me a bit (and can't stress enough how much I don't like makeup, the less, the better.) ;) And the 'white stuff' in the Cover Girl/Olay Simply Ageless can be pretty bright, but that can be avoided by using mostly the flesh tone and dabbing just a bit of white in with it. I mix it right in the pot. It gives the eyes a more 'awake' look, not racoony, if that makes sense. Clinique used to have a "Find Line" that was an 800# for discontinued products (depending on how far back it was discontinued). Check this out, they still have the # to call plus a link to a locater on their site. I've seen Clinique at Ulta also, if not discontinued ages ago maybe they would have it?...See MoreHyper pigmentation under my eyes
Comments (25)Schoolhouse it may be something else. However, I had a tiny little spot on my upper arm in my 30's and my then dermatologist said it's nothing, don't worry about it and refused to remove it. Well after two years I finally went to see another dermatologist who said the same thing, but also said if it bothers you let's take it off. She did and sent it to the lab. Well it was Basal Cell Carcinoma, an atypical presentation. She explained that Basal Cell is really not dangerous, but more like a warning sign that I need to have a skin check every year and use lots of sun protection. That is why I would never except a wait of several months before a doctor examines any change in my skin that I did not recognize. I know a seborrheic keratoses when I see one. They come in many different colors, sizes, and textures, yet are all very similar....See MoreGreat under eye wrinkle gel
Comments (75)Bunny, I have combo skin and get occasional acne. (Yes, so unfair.) Argan oil doesn't make my skin break out. It's a non-clogging oil that has antibacterial and antifungal properties that help prevent acne, and is actually recommended for acne-prone skin in teens that still needs to be moisturized. It's been researched and shown to be very good for skin and hair. The last time I checked, it was still being sustainably harvested (although that could change as its popularity increases). Rosehip is another oil that's really good for acne-prone skin. The only benefit I find to the Hydro Boost is that it dries instantly and I can apply make-up sooner. Argan oil takes a few minutes to absorb. But once it does, it's not oily or shiny and doesn't clog my pores. A little goes a long way. I use the Shea Organics brand. You may already know all of this but I wanted to reiterate that not all oils are the same. A few years ago, my friends were walking around greased up in coconut oil and breaking out right and left, and now no longer trust any "oil"....See MoreBest under-eye concealers?
Comments (19)I have had some trouble with cakiness and I found the YSL Touche Eclat didn't cake and I used it for years. However, as I got older, I found it wasn't enough coverage (haven't tried the new version). Now I use Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer. I love it. Both my DDs use it as well. If the Touche Eclat wasn't so costly, I would probably add a bit of it on the inside corners of my eyes on top of the Nars. It really does give a nice brightening effect. However, I can't really justify paying for both....See MoreRelated Professionals
