Permanent dark eye circles?
Comments (77)Something that helps me a lot with dark areas under my eyes (and sunken in eyes) is white mulberries (the actual berries—not the leaves, although I'm not sure whether or not the leaves help there, too). I have a lot of other issues that eating white mulberries alleviate, too (chronic constipation, depression, involuntary movements, auras, etc.; they strengthen my immune system, and I only get sick maybe once or twice a year, now, instead of every other month, and when I do get sick, it doesn't last as long; I should note that although it alleviates constipation, it doesn't give me anything like diarrhea if I eat too many; the berries seem to have an antimicrobial effect, and they make my lungs feel good right after I eat them when I breathe in). If I stop eating them, the issues come back, though, but it's pretty miraculous how they make them go away. I only need to eat a few berries a day. I think a few in the morning and a few at night works best (you don't need to eat loads of them). I didn't need to eat hardly any at all when I first started taking them, though (1-3 berries a day; I don't need many more than that now, but I usually eat at least 4 twice a day, although usually more than that: they do taste pretty good). Be consistent with when you take them. They sell them at The Grocery Outlet here locally (but nuts.com also sells them). When I first started taking them, if I ate too many (then too many wasn't very many), it would make me more depressed instead of less depressed (but I don't notice that happening so much anymore if I eat lots of them). So, dosage may matter. Does he have any other issues? Does he have light sensitivity (to indoor light), by chance? I do (especially to fluorescent light), and I think it's related, for me. Using computers a lot, I think, can make dark areas under the eyes worse. If you take vitamin D3 (at least 400iu a day), that should lessen the light sensitivity considerably....See MoreUnder eye concealer
Comments (17)I used to use Dermablend all the time, for years. I don't get dark circles w/bags under my eyes so much as that dark pigmented look from thin skin. (There is a name for that, IIRC, I just can't think of it.) But guess as my skin aged it started not working so well, got fine little creases in it. (It conceals better than anything I've tried, imo.) tina, the Bare Minerals conceals surprisingly well for a powder, and it's not loose or flaky. I'll have to check out gdust's color, yellow is a good concealer on my skin tone. The Summer Bisque is more taupe and on the cool side, but still does the trick. (Even better in winter.) Mineral powder doesn't bother me a bit (and can't stress enough how much I don't like makeup, the less, the better.) ;) And the 'white stuff' in the Cover Girl/Olay Simply Ageless can be pretty bright, but that can be avoided by using mostly the flesh tone and dabbing just a bit of white in with it. I mix it right in the pot. It gives the eyes a more 'awake' look, not racoony, if that makes sense. Clinique used to have a "Find Line" that was an 800# for discontinued products (depending on how far back it was discontinued). Check this out, they still have the # to call plus a link to a locater on their site. I've seen Clinique at Ulta also, if not discontinued ages ago maybe they would have it?...See MoreUnder eye concealer for aging skin? Your favorite?
Comments (21)I'm with Dawn. Horrible dark circles under my eyes. I have never worn makeup. When I was looking for a job, I went to one of those cosmetic counters where they do a "makeover" on you. That girl spent 30 or 40 minutes (and about 400 dollars worth of products on my face) and I looked worse when she got done than when I walked in the door. I felt bad I didn't buy anything, I'll just live with my circles....See MoreEye Shadow - shimmer or no?
Comments (53)I don’t do bronzer, mostly because I am what would be called porcelain complected and bronzer makes me look like I’ve gotten dirty. I apply 50+spf religiously, avoid spending time out in the 11-3pm direct sun, and don’t particularly care about the comments that I am blinding people with my pale skin like I did as a child. I am as the universe (and it’s creator) designed me to be and if it’s good enough for the universe that’s good enough for me. Still love a plum purple smokey eye for evening/night, brings the green in my blue green grey with gold flecked eyes. Lazy day makeup is charcoal liner applied along the underside/waterline in tiny vertical strokes between my upper lashes no mascara (the new version of no makeup makeup), Anastasia Beverly Hills brow whiz or dip brow, and voila. I haven’t had any chemical treatment on to my hair since mid-July, had it cut to just below my shoulders back in April 2017, grew back pretty fast and I know I will need to get to a salon soon-ish. I wanted to see what color my roots actually are, when I was 16 I imagined dyeing my hair brown, red or black for the rest of my life and didn’t think that would change. My roots are still blonde, I thought by now my hair would finally have darkened up like most blondes do in their 30’s, definitely when close approaching their 40’s but nooooooo, not even up to 10% grey yet either. Getting a filtered shower head has helped the hard water problem with both hair and skin. We simply can’t do the expense of a water softener system right now....See MoreRita / Bring Back Sophie 4 Real
