Scoop of vanilla ice-cream, 1 oz creme de menth...the green kind, one oz of white creme d'cocoa...blend, pour into stemmed glass.

Thanks!

Vanilla BEAN ice cream will really put it over the top!

LindaC's recipe is the one we always used at the bar when we owned it, we called that a "frozen grasshopper" and used to stick a bite sized York peppermint patty on the edge of the glass, it was more dessert than a drink. the better the ice cream, the better the drink will be.

The "regular" drink had a shot of green creme de menthe, a shot of white creme de cocoa and a shot of light cream, shaken with ice and strained into a glass.

I think I'll go with the frozen grasshopper. Thanks all for your input. I don't post a lot but lurk frequently and copy a lot of recipes.

I have a friend who owns a sandwich shop. If you are a good friend and smile nicely, and flutter your eyelashes.....and take him the creme de menth and the creme d'cocoa....before he cleans out the soft serve ice cream machine for the night, he will make a batch of grasshopper ice cream.
Oh my!!
And sometimes he will also make a batch of pink squirrels....creme d'almond and creme d'cocoa.
It makes a couple of gallons, so you better be having a big party!

I am glad you asked.....now I have some recipes for the three bottles of creme de menthe in my cupboard.
