Hi David. TGIF indeed. I'm glad this week is over for Christy's sake [My DW] Her company has been goin nuts and the stress is crazy there. It's her Birthday tomorrow so I'll be baking a white cake and making buttercream for it at her request. Dinner will be her choice of shrimp stew, over rice of course, and some steamed brocoli. Then she gets presents.

Sunday is our Anniversay. 29 yrs. 2 years ago we did a Civil Union, but naturally we will also keep our original Anniversay. Smiles. She's cooking for that and has chosen pounded chicken cutlets breaded, stuffed artichokes and some sort of noodle dish. I suspect left over birthday cake will be dessert, then presents. Should be a good weekend.

Gaaah, it's Saturday already. I played ping pong this evening and did really well - I'm improving rapidly and kinda happy about that. More on Sunday.

Have a nice anniversary weekend coconut - I'm in my 18th year of unofficialized bliss, though I guess we're considered domestic partners or something now. Whatever!

Here, it is politics time. Petitions need to be signed for primary ballots.
Last night was a small get together for a county judge and district magistrate.
I made buffalo hot wing dip with baked pita triangles, took over some of my candied cinnamon pickles, pickled cauliflower and squash. Sliced a plate of the smoked turkey we made last week with horseradish suace.

Today, dropping the kiddo and friends off at her Dad's so he can take them to watch regional wrestling match.
The township supervisor voted me the designated driver for the GOP winter picnic this afternoon.
We are stopping at a supply store while in the other town to pick up a box of parchment paper,# 6 dippers and papergoods stock for the summer pool parties.

Tommorrow, have to finish the final financial statements for publication for the township and hopefully get the house semi- cleaned and start seeds of maters, eggplant and peppers.

A bunch of us went to see Cinematic Titanic last night - it's the live show from the original creator and cast of Mystery Science Theater 3000. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time!! The show was awesome - I was a complete dweeb and stood in line for the meet and greet and to get autographs - the whole shabang!

Tonight friends are coming over for dinner. I would ordinarily cook, but I have a lot going on today and we decided to just have pizza delivered and hang out and watch a movie. There's a local place that makes great pizza and calzone, and they're dirt cheap, which is a big plus!

Depending on how late they stay and how motivated I am tomorrow, I might make some bread.

Howdie Everyone!!

I know I am late being its Saturday evening LOL!!

I will raise a glass of water you all!!

Yesterday was my day off and Drew had off as well so not wanting to be left out Frank took off as well.

It was a grueling week here in our fine city. A cop, a very young cop was killed in the line of duty. Its just so sad.
There are no words to express how gut wrenching it was to watch his young widow-5 months pregnant during the viewing.

Did I know him?? Gosh you guys are gonna think I have tons of cop friends but honestly I don't but yea I did know him, well I knew him thru my Brother Stephen and his son, my nephew Stephen.
I met him and Kim at Stephen Jr's engagement party last October. John was to be in the wedding party.
When big Steve was hospitalized last spring, John made sure SIL had a police parking permit as the center city parking was horrendous.
Frank says he met him at the hospital but I do not recall that at all. I did go to high school with his aunt.

I also have a dear co worker who very suddenly, lost her husband on Tuesday. One minute he was sitting in his chair so Linda headed out to have her after supper smoke, she returned and he was blue. It was a massive heart attack.
They were common law husband and wife and from what I have recently learned about it, Pa is not common law friendly.
These 2 were very poor. Davey carried no life insurance so Linda was forced to have him cremated. Its still very costly so I have been collecting to help her family out.
They have 3 children. Linda is the lady who gave me my dog Gretchen.
I have been cooking for them and I plan to stop by with everything tomorrow.

So with all this sadness, we decided to get out of dodge and go to a nearby home and garden show, after we went to Ikea. Last week Ikea had a sale on a 3 drawer chest so we popped in but it was so crowded we just got 2 chests and went home. We had a very late lunch and came home.

Today I had to work but when I got home I finished my family room painting project!! Now I just have to do a good cleaning and stage the room.

Tomorrow I also have to work but I plan to visit my friend early in the day before I go in.
There are lots of new listings in and around our target area so Frank plans on taking Drew for a drive to take a look before we ask for a showing...gosh I am just overwhelmed with all the options!!

I have a full week of work ahead of me but next week DD has her spring break and she has scheduled her wisdom teeth extraction!! YIKES!!
So I plan to take a few days off to tend to her. With any luck she'll be ok by Friday of that week so we can go to the flower show!!

Sorry to have such a depressing TGIF here...hopefully next week will bring some better news!!
