Abby Normal--I'm with you! :-) I'm painting my cabs right now, and I've decided I like a little teeny bit of brushwork! I'm using BM Satin Impervo. It is plenty glossy enough! Once everything is painted, and the lights are shining on them, they will be shiny, even in satin. I was just taking some progress photos of mine (haven't uploaded yet). The sun was streaming in the window, and they looked super shiny! So I vote satin! Especially over oak. :-) francy

Earlier today I emailed SW corporate asking if there were any health risks associated with using A-100 indoors and if yes, what is the fix. They say they will respond within 48 hours so I should have something in writing soon. I will update the folks here when I get the 411. In the meantime, I plan to send an email to the GC asking him to verify with the local office that indoor use is an approved use, that it poses no health hazard and that I can sand it and paint over it with any paint of my choice when the time comes. I guess I should send another inquiry off to corporate asking the same exact thing. I'm not out of the woods, but I'm feeling much better. Thank you all again. Honu

I'm worried about the "milky white" when it dried. That could be adhesion failure already lurking below the first coat. Do you have photos? And please stay away from Minwax...it is low-end DIY stuff that has a very poor name in the professional circles (and yet so many people use it - I'm mystified). Water based stains can have issues with Minwax...and vice verse. Minwax stains can have issues with water based finishes. And yes...Minwax has issues with bubbles that's why it is a STIR ONLY material. Good luck. Don't do anything until you figure out the "milky white" patch. If that is adhesion failure then anything you do today will be a waste of time and money. Give it a minute and inspect that patch.
