I prefer chopped up chocolate for my brown sugar CC cookie recipe. And the chocolate chunks retain their shape well, after being baked (I used Lindt chocolate).

I've never combined both, chocolate chips and chocolate chunks. But, there's no such thing as too much chocolate.

I won't even believe what just happened. DD (17) comes home from school. Opens up the large bowl I put the cookies in and spills them all on the floor. What did we do? we picked them up and put them back in the bowl. If anyone complains about dog or cat fur in the cookies I will come clean and blame DD. You think I'm going to let them go to waste???? What a day this has been. I really hope it gets better.

My daughter was in a hurry getting ready for school once, and dropped an entire gallon of milk in the kitchen, which exploded once it hit the floor. This was 10 years ago, and I'm still cleaning it.

In regards to the chocolate chunks, I normally chop them larger than chocolate chips. That's because when it comes to chocolate, I thrive on inaccuracy.
In other words, don't stress too much over their size. It makes for a better textured cookie.

I put bakers choc in the freezer for an hour, then bang it with a hammer outside on the stone patio in a zip-lock...still in it's original package. I get good various size chunks pretty quickly. Your cookies look really good!
I do like the un-sweetened bakers with the sugar surround flavor. A bit of sugar with the rich dark chocolate.

I don't like dropping things and using it, but do it all the time. I do a pause, then 'what the heck'. Probably depends on when i last cleaned the floor? Or i'll rinse under water in the sink, then back in the oven for 10 min...(i have 2 pups)

Gross story, but once i trimmed my husbands hair, (it was clean), and it was winter....
so i did it by the breakfast table in good daylight. Did not realize it was right over one of the forced air ducts. Right next to the kitchen. Days later hair was in everything. It blew up and airborn without realizing. That was disgusting.

I wouldn't worry about the cat or dog fur :) Everyone tells me what a good cook I am and how things they make of mine never come out the same when they make it. I always think to myself must be the cat fur :)

I have so many animals that no matter how much I clean there is always a few hairs flying around. Told someone the other day I am surprised my family hasn't starting hacking up hairballs themselves lol.
