My cat is digging in my beds (Please help asap!)
Comments (41)I am trying to make "hoop houses " over each bed,...but its slow going with over 20 plus raised beds. using 2by 4 wire fencing...and others are using 4by 6 opening fencing attaching it to various size boards.. most of my raised beds are 4 by 4 in size but quite a few are close to 4 by 8 foot..... s lots to do. reason for hoops is to try to keep out insects, etc covering hoops with row cover or tulle etc......plus having cattle panels around giant garden with poultry wire ...wired to cattle panels thought fence would keep out the rabbits . I did not consider outdoor only Kitty would be using them for extra litter boxes... Cat has several acres for his big litter box... Plus covering walk path with cardboard the mulch or deep old straw Only reason for cat.... is to keep away the horrendous number mice that plagued us for over a year.... and he catches lots of voles too.... just chiming in Jean...See MoreOK, just one more thing(trying to play catch-up)
Comments (8)Can ya believe my DH (who is not a shopper) sat in the truck and waited for me for one of those stores??? I seen it on the way in and was about to break my neck to look. I didn't even ask him and when we left town, he pulled in and said ,"ok, hon, ya got 30 minutes." What a sweetie! Kudzu, that is so funny! I paid 50 cents for mine. I almost didn't see it, it was behind the little gate when I picked it up. oh, luna, I know! We would have a blast shopping together!! Sunny, I'm such a dummy, I didn't even think to look! All I could see was a little seat or birdbath for my gr'daughters to put in the fairy garden we are making. I will look, though when I get home tonight! Thx, for the heads-up, Karen, I'll keep a look-out for Kirk lurking around my cabin treasures!LOL!! But, ya know, it would be fun to go shopping with him and Carol, cuz we like the same decor, although we'd be fighting over the bears!!!!LOL! Thx for sharing my excitement on my new finds! blessings-sherri...See MorePart one catch up photo's!
Comments (10)Debra, the color on Aztec Beauty is fantastic. I must say that all it has going for it though. I hate the form and the plainess of it. I knew you would like Applique since you have it.. Jean, that's FFO on Absolute Treasure. I bought more than one daylily that they told me was this one. They were wrong but I finally got it from a friend a couple of years ago. I've not been sorry. Brittie, she's isn't a pure pink but shes close enough to suit me since I love the pinks so much!! Becky, I am thrilled for you. Once you begin planting and see blooms in your garden, you will really be in love with them. Christine, AB does have a lovely color, so I agree with that part. I really don't like it much for the same reasons that you like it.. Concrete Empire was a long time not blooming but I think it was worth the wait.. Thank you Kay and Thank you all for your input!! When it comes time to find a nursing home for parents or other loved ones, here are a few concerns keep to mind: Quality Equipment and Aid : Private homes simply don't have the types of medical equipment and supplies needed to help seniors stay healthy. Many nursing homes are almost as advanced as hospitals in their ability to provide sophisticated care for patients on a 24-hour basis. Finding a nursing home can be a difficult endeavor while there are many options out there, it is a difficult decision to make. Being informed can help, one such resource for information is a free nursing home finder that searches out homes in your area and sorts them according to your loved ones income and needs. To try this free resource for yourself simply visit this link.. Find a Home for Mom. Â Long-Term Care you can trust : Due to modern medicine, seniors now live longer than ever. While we're thankful for this, longer life-spans often come with longer periods of late-life illness and disability. Caring for a senior relative at home is often a long-term commitment of many years, sometimes requiring intensive care. Â Around the clock Monitoring and Emergency Care: Nursing homes are equipped to deal with emergencies and other sudden incidents. Internal call systems allow residents to contact staff at any time should something arise. These systems are monitored 24 hours, and experienced staff is always on hand to respond. Â Lessen the emotional toll on the family: When an elderly relative being cared for at home experiences suffering, a sudden emergency, or a decline in health, family members are liable to feel guilt and to wonder if they could have done more. Putting the elderly relative in the hands of professionals makes this issue nonexistent. Â Carry on living you life while feeling secure about theirs: While we want to help our relatives as much as possible, we also must think of ourselves, our spouses, and our children. Caring for an elderly relative at home can be a time-consuming process for everyone involved, which may take time and energy away from careers, school, hobbies, family bonding, travel, and other important personal matters. If our elderly relative can be just as happy and healthy, if not more so, in a home, why not take the burden off of ourselves? Emotionally it can be devastating to have to have a loved one put into a home for their own good, there is a burden put upon a caregiver that some may not understand. The split between what is right for them and what makes them happy is not an easy divide to cross, let us help by showing you that there is a choice. Please visit... Find a Home for Mom. Â A Chance for friends again : Socially, seniors need more than just family. At nursing homes, seniors are out in the world interacting with a variety of people. Other residents provide a chance to form new friendships with others in the same age group. Meanwhile, strong, personal relationships may also be developed with staff members. ÂThings to do.. : Nursing homes routinely provide the types of activities and, in some cases, outings that are specifically tailored to seniors, and which may not be available in private homes. Nursing homes usually provide movies, reading material, games, activities, and other types of events. In addition, they often have private gardens where residents can go for strolls, get fresh air, and even do some gardening. Some things are better off not left to chance, you have options.. come see... Find a Home for Mom...See Morejeremy101
