Second bloom on Concrete Empire. I love it!!

My favorites here are Absolute Treasure and Applique. I also like the colors on Aztec Beauty.

Jean, there was a time I didn't like spiders either but I think Ed posted a photo of Skinwalker that stole my heart. Since then, I have grown to really love spiders and unusual forms.. Debra, I'm surprised you don't have "No More Tears" As for Summer Thunder, I didn't like it much the first couple of years but she has come into her own now and is a beauty. Nice and tall too!! Brittie, Winyah Eye is NOT photogenic. It is much prettier in real time. The eye on it is like velvet, very striking.. Christine, it's the first time she has polyed for me. I had to take a picture!!! Linda, I'm tickled pink that you like so many of them.. Ruth, ST is really showing off this year. Marg, you are my kind of people. Often I have trouble choosing a favorite. Avedon, I see you have Stop The Show in your choices. That is one nice daylily. Large bloom, not bothered by insect and dependable to boot. She increases well too. Chris, It took it some time to settle in. I moved it early this spring so was surprised the blooms looked half way decent on it!. I'm sure glad you gave up on it and sent it to me cuz I sure love the pretty blooms and there are LOTS of buds on it now. Debra, Thank you! I sure wished my shots looked as good as yours...LOL! Your clump shot of Cret. Crunch has a lot more bite than mine, but I sure love it! It took a good two years settling time for it to show it's bite. Purple Side Effects was added to my garden last fall. I ordered Bass Gibson and Ruckus from Throughbred and Annette sent PSE as bonus! Purple Cheetah was added last fall as well. Jean, I would be happy to send you some banned in Boston once it cools down a little bit, email me through my page. Natanya, Adorable Tiger is even more striking in person, can't explain it, but this beauty is bright! I really LOVE IT! Candy Cane Dreams is another of my favorites. It seems to glow to me! Val, Thank you. Clarification has been a proven winner, the deer never seemed to eat it's buds....LOL Now that I have it within a protected fence, I plan to do some hybridizing with it. Yep Michelle, FR is in my front yard. It had to be someone who would recognize the dl though, not just random. Fortunately, they didn't take the plant as someone once did! Not that one but another...I have a few still on first bloom and several on rebloom. I still have scapes coming on though. I had a couple of seedling blooms today and saw a couple with scapes. 7a is my zone but sometimes it's really a 6b.. Kay, Frequent Comment is a very pretty dl. A variety of colors, nice size bloom and faithful to bloom. Bill Maryott talked me into this one several years ago! FON is kinda new to me so I can't comment on it except to say that I like the color! Rita, Ferengi Gold is is blooming now. She is a nice one even on rebloom but FE doesn't re bloom for me for some reason. I think FA is my fav of this group..BTW, doesn't your red noid you posted look a bit like Fiery Moment? Kay/phal , I don't mind at all. I will look as soon as I finish this thread.. Debra, When I said FA was my fav of this group, I forgot about FR. I do like that daylily. I look at everyone's pictures and I'm always amazed that people can pick out a favorite. They ALL look beautiful to me! Beautiful collection of flowers Ellie!

I'll be planting my first daylilies this weekend!

Aztec Beauty is lovely. No ruffles, bells, whistles, applique, triple edges or complex eye, just color. I also really like Concrete Empire, it is just a beautiful clear yellow.

Debra, the color on Aztec Beauty is fantastic. I must say that all it has going for it though. I hate the form and the plainess of it. I knew you would like Applique since you have it..

Jean, that's FFO on Absolute Treasure. I bought more than one daylily that they told me was this one. They were wrong but I finally got it from a friend a couple of years ago. I've not been sorry.

Brittie, she's isn't a pure pink but shes close enough to suit me since I love the pinks so much!!

Becky, I am thrilled for you. Once you begin planting and see blooms in your garden, you will really be in love with them.

Christine, AB does have a lovely color, so I agree with that part. I really don't like it much for the same reasons that you like it.. Concrete Empire was a long time not blooming but I think it was worth the wait..

Beautuful, just beautiful. My favorites are CORAL CAY, BONNIE PINK RUFFLES and ABSOLUTE TREASURE. Call it a three way tie!

I think I am missing something here, Ellie. I thought Beauty To Behold was yellow so I looked it up on the AHS data base and it is yellow. Your Beauty To Behold is pink, so you probably have this one mislabled. In any event, Absolute Treasure is a treasure, and I like Aztec Beauty even though it is plain--the color is wonderful. Avedon

Wonderful! I enjoyed all of these, but I also have a 3-way tie between Coral Cay, Baffin Bay Beauty and the sunny color on Concrete Empire. I aso love the the one you said was Beauty to Behold...whatever it's name it is definitely beautiful to behold...LOL
