The bloom on this one is ok but the foliage stinks. Always lot of leaf streak and puny leaves to boot..

Ellie, I love all your photos. The season is almost completely finished here, with the exception of a few rebloom scapes. It is nice to see so many pretty faces. I really like FLORENTINE RENIASSANCE. Is FORESTLAKE RAGAMUFFIN in the front yard? Someone stole the seedpods?? :o(

Jean, there was a time I didn't like spiders either but I think Ed posted a photo of Skinwalker that stole my heart. Since then, I have grown to really love spiders and unusual forms.. Debra, I'm surprised you don't have "No More Tears" As for Summer Thunder, I didn't like it much the first couple of years but she has come into her own now and is a beauty. Nice and tall too!! Brittie, Winyah Eye is NOT photogenic. It is much prettier in real time. The eye on it is like velvet, very striking.. Christine, it's the first time she has polyed for me. I had to take a picture!!! Linda, I'm tickled pink that you like so many of them.. Ruth, ST is really showing off this year. Marg, you are my kind of people. Often I have trouble choosing a favorite. Avedon, I see you have Stop The Show in your choices. That is one nice daylily. Large bloom, not bothered by insect and dependable to boot. She increases well too. Rita, you surprise me but I agree with you. MBD is a fine dl... Kay, isn't that funny. A lot of folks who don't like doubles, like that one. It's extended bloom is a plus and the fact that it's kind of a spidery type double doesn't hurt. I have always been happy with it..MAA bloomed a little late this year.. Val, Mekong is not very well know, I think. I don't know anyone else that has it but I am sure some of the forum do, although I have never heard it mentioned. I like it quite a bit. MBD too, of course. I'm glad they interested you enough that you had to view them several times.. Sharon, I think a lot of the appeal for MBD is the watermark. I love them as do a lot of our forum friends. I'm glad you enjoyed them.. Thank you Debra.. Chris, the first time I saw CC I was in love with it. So I ordered it and put it in the ground in June..( Maryott) I was at a friends house a couple of weeks later and she had it. I was through blooming but she took a lot of pics. I was jumping for joy that I snaged that one after seeing her pictures. When it's doubled, it's gorgeous.. Thank you all. Installment #17 coming right up...Ellie

The letter F has some A+ daylilies! I really like the photos of Ferengi Gold and Forestlake Ragamuffin.

Yep Michelle, FR is in my front yard. It had to be someone who would recognize the dl though, not just random. Fortunately, they didn't take the plant as someone once did! Not that one but another...I have a few still on first bloom and several on rebloom. I still have scapes coming on though. I had a couple of seedling blooms today and saw a couple with scapes. 7a is my zone but sometimes it's really a 6b..

Kay, Frequent Comment is a very pretty dl. A variety of colors, nice size bloom and faithful to bloom. Bill Maryott talked me into this one several years ago! FON is kinda new to me so I can't comment on it except to say that I like the color!

Rita, Ferengi Gold is is blooming now. She is a nice one even on rebloom but FE doesn't re bloom for me for some reason. I think FA is my fav of this group..BTW, doesn't your red noid you posted look a bit like Fiery Moment?

Kay/phal , I don't mind at all. I will look as soon as I finish this thread..

Debra, When I said FA was my fav of this group, I forgot about FR. I do like that daylily. I have to see if I have more F's..Hehehe!!

When I saw FRANCES JOINER (which is my favorite here), I thought it might be related to NELL DEAN, which I have. Unfortunately, neither have parentage listed on AHS. I did notice that Frances Joiner has 87 CHILDREN!

Makes me wonder what daylily has the most children. Any ideas? Maybe there's no easy way to find out something like this.

Frances Joiner is the first double I have seen that I absolutely love. Forestlake Ragamuffin is pretty special too, but I'm still voting for your seedling Sabine Baur/Awesome Blossom cross.
