I've had my hair every color except black. I was a natural blonde as a child,which got darker as I grew up, to a light mousy brown. I started dying my hair around age 16 using "Nice and Easy" from a box. Also did the lemon-juice-and- sit-in- the- sun bit. I have even had Platinum blond to please my husband. That was a nightmare-had to get a professional to lighten my hair, she used very strong peroxide. The roots needed constant touching up every 4 to 6 weeks, and it burned every time I got a touch-up. So I let my "natural" color hair grow in, took about 6 months. I'm now light brown with some gray. Anyhow, if you are making a drastic change, you really can't do it yourself. You need to go to a pro who will remove the old color and apply the new. Or go with highlights, which if applied properly don't need a lot of maintenance, only needs to be done every 6 months or so.Good luck and let us know what you do!

If you care to read I personally LOVE DOLLS because I am one! HA HA HA HA HA! You humans think Toys stay still all day? YEAH RIGHT! I might be breaking the toy laws here but head bear can't stop me! My owner messed up my hair billions of times I always just steal conditioner from my master's master's shower and rinse with warm water and then use the curling Iron from my master's master's dresser. she always comes home and sees me all new again then asks her master 'Did you do this?' then her master says to my Master 'yes honey I did' taking my credit! GRR! oh well. I don't blame my master though she got me out of that dreaded box some one put me in besides shes 5 I hear around the neighborhood that humans don't expect much from 5 year olds. But any ways Is the doll you humans speak of named Anna? I think I know her and she has the same sad problem and story of how she got it... oh no! got to go head bear and Lucy are both looking for me if they see my with my master's master's Laptop I will be sent to the horrid attic! I've mostly used yarn for hair on my dolls. I take some yarn, unraveling it if I want curly hair, and cut it into even lengths. When I think I have enough, I tie a bunch of yarn lengths together with a piece of the same yarn in the middle. I then hold it to the doll's head with pins while I form the hair-do (braids, up-do, whatever). When IÂm happy with the hair, I lift the wig and put glue on the head and then gently press down the wig. Yarn can also be sewn to a piece of ribbon (same colour as the doll) and the ribbon sewn to the dollÂs head and the hair styled.
