Comments (20)Susan, Maybe you should just come on over! LOL....we actually have fun with all the kids! We would rather sit around and have late sing-songs (that sounds nerdy) with the kids and their freinds.... We'll sit around with all of them, pull up their music (which we actually like) and proudly sing to the worst of our abilities! There are times I actually have to declare a "No other children in my house but MINE!" days.... Oh, have you heard the latest Foo Fighters CD??? Home made me cry! We also love Nickleback, Cross Canadian Ragweed....anything red-dirt, Elton John, the Doors, 80's underground music.... Southern bluesy soul.... Comments (8)please accept my sympathy to you and your family. i think it doesn't matter when you have lot someone that feeling never goes away. in afew weeks i will have been a widow for 4 years. everyday i think of my husband. i remember what we had for supper the night before (roast and veggies) and i haven't made or eaten it since. i still wear my 3 diamond ring he gave me for our 25th anniv. still proudly with my wedding band on my left hand. i also rec'd a diamond tennis bracelet for my 50th bd (all ths jewellery within 2 months of his passing) along with a puppy gracie joy devine (i swore we would never have another pet) i live in northern ontario so i know about cold and snow today it was minus 43! i walk 21/2 miles one way everyday to visit him at the cemetery. i hate him for leaving me. my husband was just loved by everyone, he had that kind of personality. our son hAS taken over some of his dads traits like volunteering etc. and i don't think our daughter will ever get over losing her date, she was home when the firetrucks and ambulance came to the house, but she has learned to be a nicer person. life is so funny those mean people we all know seem to live forever and ever. it took me about a year to mention Al's name but now i make sure that the kids (well 22 and 27) hear atleast one story about their dad. again i'm sorry for your loss...See MoreDo you wear Ugg boots?
Comments (31)OHHH 'iamjustme'~~that is a good hint I & DD wear size 7's and buy size 6 Uggs DGD wears a 6 and forsure could wear a childs size~~I am going to check that out. My 2 year old GD has had 2 pairs of us wears a pair now on cold days to pre-school so cute~~hers have the button on the side only boots DD could find to get on her fat feet. For you all who bash Cali for wearing them with shorts I just did a Wikipedia check on the history of Uggs~~they were brought over here in the late 70's by the surfers to warm there feet after surfing. Very popular to wear at HS swim meets with swim parkas to wear after each swim event. They are also considered a 'unisex' item. Sad that Hollywood as always takes something from our everyday life and makes it a big fashion statement as well as a joke:( Just an FYI...See MoreLawn re-boot help
Comments (42)Correct. There are optional feedings in there depending on how you treat your lawn. Synthetic: Memorial Day, Labor Day, October 1 (optional), Winterization Organic: May 1, August 1 (optional), September 1, October 1, (optional) Winterization For synthetics, the optional one is often the difference between good and great (assuming the soil chemistry is reasonably balanced and tested). For organics, the optional ones are the difference between good, great, and fantastic (assuming the soil chemistry is reasonably balanced and tested). Which way (or a combination is also fine) to feed is up to you and I have no preference for others' lawns. Either organics or synthetics will produce a nice lawn, but I do think it's a good idea to feed organically at least once per year. Synthetics tend to tap organic material and eventually that can cause problems. >>Regardless of what product I use, don't use a WnF, just spot treat as they pop up? Correct. You can also blanket spray if you end up with a real problem over a wider area. That involves a hose end, set according to the bottle instructions. >>Also, do you recommend putting down a crabgrass preventer in the spring? I've read the best time is when forsythia are in bloom, is this part of the Memorial Day feeding or prior to? Yes, and I use one (Prodiamine), more to counter P. annua than anything else in my case. Usually that'll be much earlier than Memorial Day; the forsythia blossom in early April in my area....See Morelkplatow
