Mine, I can highlight what I want printed then Right click it and select Print Preview, then at the top of the window that opens is a drop down box for the option to print just the highlighted item.

Mikie's suggestion is very good. But also, on many recipe sites there is a little box or line associated with each recipe which when clicked reproduces just the recipe you want, even in a format which can be put in a recipe box. They call it "printable view" or something like that. Try looking all around the particular recipe and see if you can get to what I am talking about.

I have a Gateway notebook.My skills are lacking and I'm not sure mine will do what you suggest. Thank you for your help.

Gabriell if you are unsure of the procedure to follow on Mikie or Mes's posts you should say so and they or someone else will help clarify the part you are unsure of. This is nothing to do with it being a notebook or desktop but more to do with installed software. Don't be afraid to say you do not understand, this is about learning these things.

Try this. Select the recipe - or any other data - you want and place your cursor in front of the first word. Hold down the left mouse button and drag down and across to the right so you have highlighted all the needed text. Release the left mouse button and click the right button over the highlighted text. Click 'Copy'. Now open Wordpad (Start/All programs/Accessories/Wordpad) or other text editor. Right click in the open area of your text editor then left click on 'Paste'. Wallah! You have the recipe you can now either save to the hard drive or print, or do both.

All of you are so kind and patient. I know so little I can't ask the questions I need to ask. I was able to highlight but see nothing that says copy.I'll see if a friend can't sit down and help me.

OK Gabriell, We really want to help you because you sound like you really want to learn how to do this... So if you go to the link I provided, its just a nice recipe site like many others... now 1. look at the top of the recipe on the left and you will see PRINT, then choices for a size, click on the size you like. Then the recipe will reappear in a printable form. 2.Then at the top of the page on the far left in Windows Explorer you see File, click it and then click on PRINT-a box will come up showing your printer, click OK and there it is.

Most all recipe sites have the same proceedure when you find one you like.

If you were able to highlight, then right click should contain "copy" option. But your cursor has to be over the blue highlighted area (or just below it)when you right click. If cursor is anywhere else on the page, option is not there. I did see "print" option both ways, I think.

I had that very problem this week myself but I searched "copy & paste" on this forum and was reminded that the cursor needs to be on highlighted area.
