I cleared all private data, didn't make any difference. I checked all my security settings. My computer is secure and all my spyware, etc. is on and working. I did have 5 updates so loaded them. One update was Explorer 8.0 and my McAffee advisor cautioned loading this saying it could expose my computer to others so I blocked that update. I can see pics on any other site I go to. I don't understand what to look at and wonder if it is my computer at all. Could it be my browser, service supplier? I get pictures not showing on emails like magazine websites and this is to protect my system from others being able to see it. If you think of anything else it could be, let me know. Thanks. Jean

I much prefer to look at photo number 1. It's peaceful.....like the path less taken. However, when I saw the mockups with the actual frame, I don't think it looks that good in it. Number 2 I guess looks better in it to me. What I would do with image #1 is to mat it in black and place in a black frame. Hubby has something similar in his office done by a local semi-famous photographer, and it looks fabulous like that (imo). I'm sure whichever you choose will look great to you, esp. with the memories attached. Oh, and I didn't finish reading all the replies, but saw some great mockups with the Indian pics in the frame.....they look really good in it. I think they match the personality of the frame better than the photographs.....

Good morning, everyone! allison, The 1/2 bath might be considered a 'folly' down there! I do have a small area around it somewhat finished, but the rest of it will always be a spot to work on my many hobbies, like furniture refinishing, messy crafty stuff, you-name-it. I also have a doggie door in the opposite 'working' side of the cellar, that goes to a former garage under my office, which I made that into a wood working 'shop' years ago. Another doggie door in the shop takes them out to their fenced in area of the yard. The cellar and the shop are valuable real estate to me, just as they are. I do have 3 windows and a door with glass in that 'living' part of the cellar, as well as a wood stove, and an armoire with a TV it in. It's cozy in the winter with the stove, and cool in the summer and the couch down there is great for naps! These pics are of my former LR sofa down there and a 'reading' nook with big chair. Not much decorating has taken place yet! The door you see on the right in this pic is to the 1/2 bath. This is the reading nook which faces the wood stove. Being a dog lover, I got this original oil painting of a Springer from eBay for $21.49! His eyes are a perfect match to the Behr 'Cork' paint color. And this is Ikat fabric called Casbah, that I got at 1/2 price at Ballard Designs. I might make sill length panels for the 1/2 bath for fall and winter from it. The way it goes with that paisley wallpaper is the stuff that (my) dreams are made of. I'm happy to see so many paisley lovers here, as I have always been one, and I LOVE to mix patterns in a room, even a small one like this. I'm glad that others are inspired by my 're-cycled' bathroom! I'd never have done it if there hadn't been a rough one down there to start; but I just replaced that with one that even I'll use. No more storing tires and hoses in this one.

I've been going back and forth on your post for awhile now just looking and thinking. I have oak cabinets too and we changed out the hardware to ORB. I love it. I hear your pain on painting the cabinets! DH is the same way but has always been fine w/ me painting our cabinets. We've just never gotten around to it though. Leaving the cabinets as is until you cajole your DH into painting I think that white is a good decision for table and chairs. But Let me toss this idea out to you: Should you eventually paint your cabinets would you consider painting your table base in a pale shade of grey/ blue? I suggest this just because I think that those curtains need something a little 'weighty' in the kitchen w/ the addition of the brown sectional being in the other room. Or maybe not. I forgot that you were painting the wals green and I don't feel like erasing everything that I just typed!
