Thank you very much for your comments. Babka, I am also thinking about that option to go back to Firefox 3.6. I will do that when I can not solve my problem per Firefox Help. Steve and Babka, no, presently I do not want to get into Windows 7, Vista should work with FF4 per Paul. Today right after first going into Firefox I got into the formerly used version of Photobucket, but then Yahoo came and wanted to take over my world again. I needed to hit BACK 4 times to get out of that. So it seems I have to get rid of FF4 selecting Yahoo in this instant. When reading yesterday in the Firefox.com Help section under 'Yahoo problems', it seems I have to go into some 'Hyper code' (whatever that is) and delete 'Yahoo' there. There seems to be some standard Hyper code which selects automatically Yahoo. This seems to be the worst user unfriendly application I have ever seen, requiring me to become an operating system programmer. Paul, it might be that when you downloaded FF4, it set that 'Hyper code' correctly. But it is nice to know that you have it working, and I possibly will be able too. tj, thanks about mentioning this little icon "Web View". I saw some very small icons which were difficult to decipher. Anyway, I saw some more leafing-out hostas from SC at this nursery, but will leave it at that 'Sagae' I bought yesterday. So why should I think of some hypercode'? I get hyper thinking of that. Thanks for all the help. Bernd

Thanks, I'm not familiar with "easylist" or the "Stop Sign". I recall in the past being offered a chance to select action beyond Allow, which causes the page to reset/transmit. In the subject case that means I have to login/password again. In the past I recall being given the choice of "allow once" "allow always", "block" that's what I recall in any case. These choices didn't come up, just an allow or ignore. Ignoring works as long as I don't need any interactions, such as using an EFT and looking for a confirmation. This site used to work so I assume the difference is something in a recent issue of Firefox. I typically do not install "add ons", that may be related.

Sorry, zep. I couldn't find anything that helped. One thing I saw was someone saying: I was able to disable scaling by setting layout.css.devPixelsPerPx to 1 instead of -1. Now everything looks like it did before the change. It might as well have been written in Greek, because I sure didn't understand what he was saying. I'm thinking of maybe going back to version 21. I am having trouble with them also. It is a different problem, a problem none the less. My WOT and no squint will not work. If I use the no squint to color the background or change the font size on my pages the google search box in the center of the Mozilla Firefox Start page disappears. I was downloading 2 things when it disappeared right before my eyes. Windows defender update and an windows update. This has happened on both of my computers and it really has me stuck. I can't find a way to delete the WDefender updates, so can't try that. I tried resetting FF, didn't help. This post was edited by EmmaR on Sat, Aug 30, 14 at 21:14
