Firefox Add-ons problem

I have Firefox 31. For years IÃ¯Â¿Â½ve had the Add on themes at the top of the screen. Now, all of a sudden, theyÃ¯Â¿Â½ve disappeared. I went to the list of themes in Firefox, and all the little icons are gone, except the default one. I went down the list, enabling each one in turn, and all I got were different colors at the top, no designs. I also canÃ¯Â¿Â½t download any new themes.

All my extensions like NoScript, Colorful Tabs, Picture Zoom Plus, etc., work fine and arenÃ¯Â¿Â½t effected.

I havenÃ¯Â¿Â½t made any permanent changes to Firefox.

What can I do to get my chosen themes downloading and working again?

Will any of these install? https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/themes/

I don't use themes so am only guessing, but maybe the ones you were using are incompatible with the relatively new Firefox "Australis" interface. Perhaps not though since Australis was introduced in version 29?

I am having trouble with them also. It is a different problem, a problem none the less. My WOT and no squint will not work. If I use the no squint to color the background or change the font size on my pages the google search box in the center of the Mozilla Firefox Start page disappears. I was downloading 2 things when it disappeared right before my eyes. Windows defender update and an windows update. This has happened on both of my computers and it really has me stuck. I can't find a way to delete the WDefender updates, so can't try that. I tried resetting FF, didn't help.

I use noscript, adblock and adblock filter set G, as well as IE tab (very, very rarely use it but it's handy when needed) and the FireFox Google toolbar. I have browster but sometimes it's annoying and I really have my doubts if it's any faster than loading a page. I never get flash ads, so there is no need for something like Remove it Permanently, although it's possible I have flash turned off. I also have Fasterfox. Is it? I have no idea. There are way, way too many add-ons for FireFox. I just use the bare minimum of extensions to make browsing less annoying.

It sounds like your "Add-Ons" dialog box launched on the 'Get Add-Ons' tab. Did you check Extensions or Plug-Ins? That should also be listed on the Sidebar.

Well, I'll be [whatever my grandmothers expletive was]. I had never noticed the options immediately below the suggested corrections in bold font. Thanks. As someone above noted...GREAT. Now, should someone make an error an add an incorrectly spelled word can it be removed?

WOT is working fine for me. If the icon were to disappear, I'd probably go into "Customize" and see if I could find it and drag it out to wherever I want it. Other than that, I don't know.

I don't use "No Squint", probably would if I didn't use "Stylish".

I just stumbled on this when I did a search to see what the "Start Page" looks like.

They seem to be trying to show folks a little coding (how to change the background color). Maybe the way they're doing that is conflicting with No Squint?

I found an ad on called "color that site" and placed it on my ad on bar. It is not as easy to use but it works and helps with eye strain cause by the bright whites of the pages and, I love colors. I also found a font size toggle menu switch, but haven't used it yet.

I did not like the font size toggle, so went back to no squint for fonts sizing only.

I got my problem fixed. After checking all my Firefox settings, which didn't reveal a fix, I decided to check my NoScropt settings. I found that, for some reason, addons.mozilla.org was blocked. I temporarily allowed it, and was then able to download themes. The list of them I already had didn't start working, and the little icons didn't re-appear, but I easily replaced those. So, as of now, all is well in the Firefox theme world.

Thank you Dee, I removed the google exception which no squint had made. Now I can use color and my search box is still there.
