What is your fav Firefox add-on?

After weeks of struggling with laptop hard drive issues I finally went out and bought a new laptop last night.

I now have to install all my design and photo editing software, utilities and download thousands of files along with resetting all my prefs.

I am using Firefox (currently v22) for my browser. If you use FF, I'd love to hear what add-ons you like the best. I have already added some and know how to search the Add-on site but also like person recommendations. I'm set on FF as my browser as it has seldom given me any problems. I've tried Chrome and IE and my preference is still FF.

absolutely number one is xmarks so I never lose my favorites and can access them from any computer, plus moving to a new computer all I have to do is install xmarks on the new one and hit sync and voila all my favorites and stuff are all automatically on the new one, and as a benefit when going to a new pc you can also have it sync all your Firefox settings too! major time savings.

Adblock plus with easylist
man I have so many I couldn't do with out. I need to go to my pc to look at the list.

Hello Everyone, After reading through it, I couldnÂt resist posting on this thread. I agree with Toni and otherÂs good opinion of Brite LeafÂs trees. I have 4 Â 2 in pots and 2 in the ground. They are 2-3 year olds now, and all want to be big. The lime is doing the best, fruiting for the first time this year, with plenty of fruit, if they all hold. Last I checked Brite LeafÂs site was working, but they hadnÂt restocked yet. They also have many new varieties, including some more expensive versions on flying dragon rootstock. I want to add an endorsement for Stan McKenzie at McKenzie-farms in Scranton, SC. He does cold hardy citrus on trifoliate rootstock. I have 4 from him also with 2 in the ground and 2 in pots. My observation is they will stay smaller. He has some great varieties, and I may not be done buying from him yet. At 17 trees, most would say IÂm at my limit, but Toni has introduced me to Harris, so who knowsÂ Sorry I canÂt share pics, but I also bought a BuddhaÂs hand this year. WeÂll have to start a subgroup within citrus forum for folks with young BH trees. I bought mine from Four Winds, the first tree IÂve gotten from them, because I wanted a dwarf and found no other online source for one. My other trees stay out over the winter, but of course the BH canÂt do that. I couldnÂt imagine getting a mature BH tree in the house every winter. I have limited sunny space and may need some of it for other plants, so it has to be a dwarf. I bought a 2-year old because thatÂs all they had in the BH, and paid more for it than I ever have for a tree. ItÂs been doing well since I got it in May and has plenty of new growth. It came with 2 tiny fruit, but they didnÂt hold on. Maybe the adjustment going from one coast to the other was too much for the tree to hang onto fruit this year. IÂll be curious how all of your BH trees do in the coming years. Any growing tips would be appreciated. IÂve been a citrus hobbiest for less than 3 years and still have much to learn. Marj

Great topic! 1. I too am a lover of all things TUBTRUG. I even went to the trouble to buy only one of each color, so that way when I tell DH that I need the PURPLE one, he can't get confused...I love that they come in different sizes, and they have them at our farm supply store locally, so no shipping! www.tubtrug.com 2. Dibble, Dibble, Dibble! I got one just a month ago from the Amana Colonies locally here in Iowa. It was pricey at 10.00, or so I thought. I have already used it enough for it to pay for itself. I will be using it quite a bit as soon as spring finally arives, it makes a hole perfectly sized for plants in a 4- or 6-pack. 3. My Big Yellow Garden Wagon. This was a (very early - like august) Christmas present from DH. The sides all fold down, it has a tray to hold my tools in it, and a removable liner. Garden Kneepads, they allow me to move around the garden quickly, and go from one task to another without having to lift and move one of the kneeling pads. Coated Gloves, you know the kind with the rubbery coating just on the palm and fingers? We have what I like to call Brick-Ready Clay here, so it is almost always wet, some of it stains the hands (I had a 2 yellowish fingers for a week or so last summer), and it likes to rip of fingernails without asking first. I think I have 6 or 8 pairs, and now they make them ultra thin too, so I can do some of the delicate work without crushing the little guys that I am plantingÂ 6. Small feed scoop. No, seriously! Remember the clay? I have to add amendments to almost everything, and the feed scoop gets just the right amount in one or two scoops. 7. Last but by no means leastÂ Power-Pivot Pruners by Fiskars. They are set up with the hinge at the back, and a pivot at the front, so that you are using the strongest part of your hand when you squeeze them. Ah heck, just look at the picture in this article. I got this cutting at the beginning of August, I love it. Hoya Benguetensis - Whole plant Hoya Benguetensis - First new leaf I also got this imperalis cutting in a trade and I really really like it, it seems like a fast rooter/grower, got it a couple months ago at the most. I have another imperalis from the hawaii grower and it hasn't done a thing and got it as a small plant, got it in the spring. I have both in southern light. I frequently have to turn this one b/c of leaning toward the light.... shanna

Hard to nail a favorite "first" since the Hellebores seem to start in December and just keep going all winter! One of my favorites in Hamamelis 'Arnold Promise', not just because of it's early and unexpected bloom, but because I happened to site it right next to an Ilex verticillata, still brimming with bright red berries - so the combination is exhilarating. . . And to the responder who was speculating about crawling about on hands-and-knees to view those downward-facing hellebores: many, many years ago, a very clever little old lady showed me how she dealt with that in her garden - by placing little 6" round mirrors on the ground (even in the snow!) under the blooms. . . Those old-timers really had it all figured out - that little old lady next door had this little tyke completely hooked on gardening at the age of seven ! Carl

Have you ever wanted to copy some text on a page, but it's a hot link that takes you to the location rather than letting you copy? I send friends links to various items on the Web, and this is the simplest way to copy and paste, or to copy something in a hot link that I want to do a Google search on.

Jodi if you install xmarks on the old pc and set up your xmarks which is very easy and fast, then install xmarks on the new computers Firefox and sync it all your favorite /bookmarks will instantly be on the new one just like you had it on the old one. If you set it up to also save your profile and settings then it will set the new one up exactly like the old one including the add ons. It is with out doubt the easiest way to get a new browser set up. And xmarks works on all the other main browsers just be sure to get the appropriate version for the browser you want to use.

Thanks RC, but I lost all my bookmarks two re-formats ago. I did save them through FF's Import and Backup feature. I placed them on two separate external drives but can't for the life of me figure out where exactly they are and how to restore them.

I did already install xmarks on my new computer and set it up to sync.

I sync Firefox on my PC, tablet and phone by just using the Firefox sync option.
