Protected .pdf files

A first for me: I ran across a pdf file on the American Dietitian Association website "Dietary Fatty Acids" that is available in 1.)printable form for members and 2.)non-printable to non-members (to look only). I saved the file and can look but cannot print. I attempted to use PDF Converter Assistant software but when I try to open the file it asks for a password. Any ideas? What makes it non-printable?

They set it so it could not be printed you're not going to print it normally.

I dont know how many pages it is but you can probably save each page to file as a graphic and then print the graphic.

I got the info printed by using Gadwin PrintScreen but it was a much longer process (15 pages) than printing ordinary .pdf files.

I use the screen capture utility Picpick for things like that. It is recommended on gizmo's site. Push the print screen key and it opens, select capture region and hold down the mouse key to draw a rectangle around the puzzle and you can print it, paste it, save it or other options.

I am not too sure that any simple PDF viewer/reader will allow printing of selected pages. You might consider bring the needed pages up individually then taking a screenshot - press 'Print screen' or 'PRN SCRN' next to the F12 button. Then paste it into your photo editing software or Paint if you have nothing better. Then save as an image. Long ago I used PDFCreator and it was great, no idea why I moved away but I have just downloaded it again. It is a versatile program.
