Bookmarks Folder

When I wanted to delete a bookmark, I just clicked on "organize bookmarks" and the list would appear. There was a delete button and that took care of any bookmarks I wanted to delete.

Now, when I click on "organize bookmarks," a box appears titled "Library" that lists Bookmarks Toolbar, Bookmarks Menu and Unsorted Bookmarks. No list and no way to delete any bookmark. What happened and how do I get back the original option?

You don't say, but I assume you're using Mozilla Firefox. It also sounds like you upgraded to Version 3.0, so you can't "get back the original option." However, deletion is very easy. You can either go into your Bookmarks list and right-click on the bookmark and delete it, or go into "Organize Bookmarks" and right-click on the bookmark and delete it.

I did right click on the bookmark and deleted it per your instruction. Thanks.

As I said in my original post, when i go into the Organize Bookmarks, I don't get a list of bookmarks, I get the Library box with no list of bookmarks.

"Bookmarks->Show All Bookmarks" (or Ctrl+Shift+O) to open your Library. The Ctrl key method will work in there.

I just did a quick check and it seems to work fine for me: CTRL-B to open bookmarks at left. Then drag the SYMBOL that's in front of the address into the bookmark FOLDER NAME (not into the body of the list). (You're basically dropping the link onto the folder's NAME). You can do the same thing with the bookmarks toolbar for your most used stuff. Be sure to rename it something short, so you can squeeze more links onto the toolbar. (right click the link, then properties...)

you will have a little blue box with an x in it down at the bottom of your browser on the task bar that is the xmarks if you click it you will be asked if you want to synchronize say yes then it will sync with your xmarks website and also with any other computers you have it set up and linked to that account. You can also change the settings there in the options, you can set it to auto update the sync or to sync on closing etc.Just right click down on the icon and choose settings, I do not have mine show the stars just the icon. On mine when I see a yellow * beside the blue icon it means I have unsynced bookmarks. ks Bookmark Synchronizer Addon here is a video showing how to use it. you can search youtube for more. I do not allow it to save my passwords though just my bookmarks

For those on an iPad, you can also take a screen capture, or picture of what is currently displaying in your screen, by pressing the Home and Power buttons briefly at the same time. You will hear a sound like a camera taking a picture, and your screen image will appear in your Photos.

You only need to click the + sign to the left to see all of your bookmarks.

I too have found the new 3.X bookmarks a wee bit more difficult to "organize". I've yet to figure out how to get everything at one time (I think if I hit enough little + signs I might eventually get them all.). A minor annoyance we will adjust to, perhaps.
