I am not getting these follow-up posts emailed to me even though i checked to have emails sent - so I didn't know there was more. I hope they keep supporting version 3 - since we have 5 xp computers between home and work. I do have FF4 on dd's laptop - but not quite sure how it's going for her. She said she didn't like it - and I offered to try above suggestions to make it appear more like she's familiar with. She wants me to in theory - but in reality never wants to hand over the computer to have me do it. When I have more leisure to try again, am I recalling correctly that I can have 2 firefoxes installed - one version 3, and one version 4? And I can use xmarks to sync bookmarks, etc. That way I can get used to ff4 - but go back to 3 for the times I need things to go smoothly and not tinker? you will have a little blue box with an x in it down at the bottom of your browser on the task bar that is the xmarks if you click it you will be asked if you want to synchronize say yes then it will sync with your xmarks website and also with any other computers you have it set up and linked to that account. You can also change the settings there in the options, you can set it to auto update the sync or to sync on closing etc.Just right click down on the icon and choose settings, I do not have mine show the stars just the icon. On mine when I see a yellow * beside the blue icon it means I have unsynced bookmarks. ks Bookmark Synchronizer Addon here is a video showing how to use it. you can search youtube for more.
