Sigh. I have a bat mitzvah AND my cousin is coming into town for a special presentation. Otherwise I'd be sore tempted to come! Can I make two clones of myself to get to every event I want to? Why does everything happen at once?

CONGRATS and you BETTER have a designated picture taker. Include lots of shots of the kids, the food, misbehaviors, YOU, Elery, and more food. And your Dad, just for me.

Is Bruce invited? I'm so bad.

After a couple of hours of beer, my family would even let Bruce come and celebrate. LOL Maybe not his bimbo girlfriend, though.

My mother, the amateur paparazzi, will be there with a camera, I'm sure. There will be pictures, no doubt. And I get to sort through and decide which ones I want to disclose, LOL.

I have never been to Michigan, so this could be just the reason to go! If I can't be there in body I will surely betherein spirit.

(Cin cin is a toast, kind of like saying cheers. I believe it's Italian. I've always pronounced chin chin. My other favorite is Skol, which is Scandinavian, although I'm not.)

Annie, I will be there in spirit and wish I could be in person. I have enjoyed your posts on your wedding and honeymoon.

My 4 yr. old DGS would pee in honor. It is a big decision for him to decide which flower in the backyard "needs a drink." 18 mo. old DGS would pee on the DJ, but we would just have to take his diaper off at the DJ's leg (his aim isn't good.)

Thanks for the link Eileen. I missed that post last year. I was still on a dial-up connection and heavy pic post took forever to load up at the lake. What a hoot of a wedding and story Annie. Hey, it's family, gotta love them. Trust me, I know...lol!

David, how could you possibly miss out on the Redneck Bonanza? LOL. No one there had handcuffs other than the police, you'd have been very popular. (grin)

Chase, my menu? Well, you need to know that many of the same family members will be at my party as those who attended the Redneck Bonanza. They won't eat "fancy" food, they want "normal" stuff and lots of it.

I'm planning pulled pork with a Jack Daniels and Coke marinade on homemade buns, probably some baked beans, mostly because I'm trying to get rid of last year's pork before I have this year's pork. (grin) Elery is making baked ziti with our homemade italian sausage and we'll have a mixed green salad with lots of stuff from the garden. The "kids" have asked for nachos to go with the beer, and by "kids" I mean those between the ages of 21 and 30. Chips and dip, some fresh vegetable trays. My mother is going to bring a big pan of sauerkraut and polish sausage which may or may not blend with everything else, but I don't care, she wants to bring it, so bring it.

I'm looking for one more cold vegetable salad kind of side, I think, and I'll make cookies and brownies for the kids, along with a chocolate sheet cake. "My" cake will be Pixiestix' hot milk cake because I just love it. I'll use Sol's fondant recipe for frosting, tint it blue and decorate with white lattice sugar hearts and a gum paste flower top of white tea roses and lilies of the valley.

Add some beer, some wine, some coffee, iced tea and lemonade for the kids, a DJ (who has already been forbidden by Elery to play ANY rap, LOL), and it'll be a party.

Dang, I wish you could come, although I think your nephew's will be much more sedate, somehow.

Oh YUM! Sounds perfect, including the 'kraut and sausage! I'm thinking you need a warm potato salad in the mix though...and the beans are a must!

My nephews menu is way less interesting.......roast beef, mashed potatoes, gravy and some sort of over done veggie ... : (
