He is OK, we just exchanged emails, we're both crying over OKC Thunder.

I'm starting to turn down all the 'Save Japan' fundraisers and turning my financial attention to our own.

Glad to hear our own Lakeguy is okay. Although David's in Tulsa, clearly he was my first thought when I saw the CNN website. My thoughts and prayers go out to the poor people who have been struck by these natural disasters!

I'm with you on that Jessy-send donations with a neighbor last week who was on a mission to Missouri.

I thought David would be okay in Tulsa, but he is out and about so much.

I can't imagine having your entire house and contents left in a pile of rubble not to mention peoples' livelihoods. There is so much farmland that has been destroyed; it will take years to bring it back.

Actually, my house is in a pile of rubble of a different sort. We were frantically emptying out closets so we could take cover, as there were several rotations and tornadoes in the Dallas area last night, too. My son, his wife and their child managed to fit into one closet, while I was desperately trying to figure out which closets I could put my cats into. It's difficult because they don't get along well enough to cram into a closet together. I saw that the storms were heading slightly south of us, so I never did make it into a closet. My DIL was so panicked, though, because she kept getting tweets from someone that kept saying, "Take Shelter now!" I wanted to take that blasted phone away from her so she would calm down.

My in-laws live in Moore, OK, and I was checking in on them on Facebook. They were in a neighbor's shelter for the storm. When it passed, they went to a Birthday party. When they got home, they found out that the DFW area was being hit, and SIL called to check on us, lol. Luckily, it wasn't nearly as bad as it could have been, as few, if any of the tornadoes actually touched down.

DH did hear from his brother in OKC that he had fence damage. If that's all the damage, it's okay. Not great, but ok.

My heart goes out to those that were hit by the tornadoes yesterday, and all week, especially in Joplin. So very sad and devastating.

One of their children is missing in the aftermath of a tornado that wiped out their house, killed one of the little ones and has left mom and another sibling in critical condition.

Please pray for the Hamlin family

Oh my gosh, that is so horrible. The pictures I've seen are unbelievable. I can't imagine going through something like that. I do hope they find more people to be safe. The death toll is awful.

L2C46, I saw that on the news, they were still searching for the child at that time, I've got all my prayers going up that they will find the baby, safe and sound.

Jessica, I agree, there's so much need, between the flooding and the tornadoes, it's a disaster that has impacted thousands of people, thousands of acres, all areas. People's homes are destroyed, their livelihoods devastated, family members dead or injured. Yes, I'm keeping my money at home and I've already given blood to the Red Cross, after all the injuries in these storms, I'm sure that's going to be the next need.

I'm sure glad David is safe, I know he travels a lot on business and I never really know exactly where he is, I just keep sending out that guardian angel to follow him....

Okay here y'all. Thanks for thinking of me once again. My heart goes out to all who have lost their homes, businesses, and loved ones with all the storms and flooding across the country.

I agree, it's time to keep the money here for awhile. Local media and churches have been taking donations for Joplin. I donated money. I know one church here has already spent 8,000.00 plus at Sam's and delivered to Joplin yesterday and today. We also have taken in many patients to several hospitals in the metro area.

Sad, sad, we are needing rain so bad, we are burning up, it is so dry and so windy.

My heart breaks for those that have had terrible storms.
Missouri, Kansas, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Louisiana and some parts of Texas have had it hard, my prayers are with you~

I'm relieved to read that our CFer's are OK, but terribly saddened by all the injuries and loss of lives and devastation to property. Everyone there is in my thoughts and have my prayers that this storm will end with no more loss, and that those who who have been hurt will recover.
