New Thunderbird and Windows 7 too much

I went about moving my email Client Thunderbird (2.0..) from my XP machine to a new Windows 7 machine. This is easy, all I have to do (worked in the past with all XP machines) is install Thunderbird and bring over the "Profiles" folder form the old machine and paste it over the new Thunderbird. Well, not sure if it is W7 or the fact that the new Thunderbird (3.0..) has some differences too, and I haven't yet found where the "Profiles" folder is... but I was getting tired as I started late at night. Any ideas here the "Profiles" folder exists in Thunderbird 3.0? I will continue to look later today.

If that wasn't enough my old Thunderbird working with AT&T Mail, once Worldnet, using postoffice.worldnet.att.net for the "incoming server" and mailhost.worldnet.att.net for the Outgoing. These are not working on the W7 machine and looking on the AT&T web site I find the recommendation of pop.att.yahoo.com for incoming and smtp.att.yahoo.com for the outgoing. I'm not sure what that means in terms of "yahoo" must be some business arrangement... tried these and Thunderbird doesn't connect with these either. Is there some general nomenclature change from postoffice to pop, and from mailhost to smtp? maybe the post/mail were just used by Worldnet.
