Wolf range still smelling ...

Well, it's been 6.5 weeks of regular use and the thing still emits a nasty smell after broiling. Before anyone states the obvious; yes, I did the initial burn-off exactly as instructed and I even wiped off the broiler itself as I could see oil residue on it. The oven was really, really smelly for a few weeks but seems to have gotten better. But the broiler still plagues me. Strangely, it's fine during broiling; it's actually during the cooling that it really stinks. And I always have the range hood running before, during and long after. Is this a problem yet, or is this still (where's the italics button?) part of the "new Wolf range" phenomenon? I know no one likes to admit the limitations of their very expensive new appliance (like what a pain it is to keep clean) but c'mon, be honest with me here Wolf owners.
