Help me choose tile, please! Pics included

I am going back and forth on our tile choices. I really like the wall tile-the 10X20 beige with subtle lines. Its the floor tile and accent I am having issues with. I like the contrast of the darker accent but am worried the floor tile kind of clashes with the wall tile. The other accent tile looks kind of dull but I fell there is better harmony among the pieces. What do you guys think? We are most likely going to order that vanity from costco as the size and price fit. Faucets etc to be decided later.

I think there was some issue with color contrast in the pics-the wall tile beige is not this yellow-it is more or less the shade of the tumbled stone in the accent.

I much prefer option two the darker bits in the tile works so beautifully with the cabinetry. You get to choose, but I like the second option. I don't see any clashing at all. Even given the yellow pic's I like the contrast in option 2.

kmc...I tried Olive Branch but it had too much gold in it and didn't look quite right. Anything with Gold seemed to fight the peachy tones of the floor. But it could just be my monitor?? ereed, I only have Ben Moore on my computer for real paint colors. I wish SW had something like this. I know Behr has one but I haven't used it yet. And remember, they WILL look different than the actual chips. I tried a few browns for you and a cream color. Yellow really seemed to fight with your floor and red is really hard to do on virtuals. They sometimes look cartoonish. Personally, I like the sage greens and the brown family. patty Congrats on your remodel I guess I would ask what other elements are in the room? what color appliances, hardware, stools, furnishings, natural light, window treatments,rugs, wall color, lighting etc I can't see the flooring - posting a pic may help Picking a counter is very individual & we all "see" differently You noted a natural tumbled backsplash as likely - I read the TB - as warming up your palette - your cabs are considered cool - so I my initial reaction is I prefer that - I like warm/cool elements but again depends on the rest of the palette & your personal taste The NC reads cool to me - If that is used the rest of the elements should be cool - fabrics, hardware, wall color etc - or you will have colors that are fighting each other - a honed crema marfil backsplash wouldn't work, but a carrara would - tan/beige paints wouldn't work, but blues/greys would Another twist you could consider is having each sample honed & see if that helps to make a decision - that will give you 4 options and also sounds like you have some room to negotiate with the stone yard esp on the TB they want to move - offer 20% discounted pricing on that one if that is the one you would like, even if not, that may help to drive the decision Good luck

Don't even know how many homes I've put RG in at this point. I will tell you that I don't put RG and Blonde together much any more unless there is substantial natural light. Reason being you can hardly tell the difference between the two. In a couple of homes that's worked out well. Blonde was just a snidge lighter than RG so it all looked like the same color, but in the individual spaces the lightness of Blonde helped *lift* that area whereas the RG would have been too dark. If a definite difference between areas is desired, I pair RG with Believeable Buff. BB ended up being what several people thought Blonde would have/should have looked like next to RG. Had a couple clients repaint Blonde with BB because they thought there would be more of a difference. I suggested only partial repaints for them because RG worked out great just needed to tweak the contrast with BB. If you sample in your space and you can easily see a diff between Blonde and RG, it should be fine. Just be aware and really look before you decide. Don't assume RG and Blonde are a good pairing just because of how they are ordered on the strip.

Out of the colors I posted, the only ones I don't think I'd care for in your space are the Formica Butterum Granite and Walnut Quartstone, but I posted those because you said you were looking for a medium to dark tone brown. I am not as crazy about the Wilsonart Deepstar Bronze because it may be a bit too orange. It's a pretty pattern however. Like dianalo said, you have to see the samples in your lighting. I have so many laminate samples it's crazy. Ones I loved on the computer were not right in my kitchen. I have a bunch of samples of Mineral Jet here and I do like that color. In my kitchen is reads more dark grey than a true brown. My aunt put Uba Tuba in her kitchen and her walls are green, but a bit softer color than yours. It looks awesome. I personally like to have flexibility when I choose these things. What if you decide in a few years that you hate the green paint? I would pick one you like overall and not just because it looks good with this paint.

I like #2 but not the floor tile. I feel you should use the marble for the floor that's in the mosaic for continuity. Your floor tile choice has too much gold in it and doesn't match. If you don't want to use real marble for the floor there are many porcelain copies.

If this porcelain marble matches it would be very pretty with it. The veining also picks up the light color.

Thanks, tikatoo, canadianmiss and blondelle. I am leaning towards option 2 too but agree with blondelle that something is off about the floor tile.
blondelle, i think you hit the nail on the head-the floor tile has too much gold. That porcelain marble is beautiful-and would be perfect. I am going to check if the tile shop we are using can get it in.
Anyone else care to weigh in?

It all comes down to personal taste - I love blue glass tile and would choose option 1 for myself, but if option2 is your preference I agree 100% that you should try and match the floor to the marble of the wall tile

Good luck - the tile choice is impossible for me!

Thanks, Rachel. The tile shop that we are using has the wall tile and the blue glass accent up on display and that's what drew us in the first place. It looks beautiful and vivid there but the actual samples looks kind of dull. I am trying to find out if all glass tile look different once installed. Maybe it depends on what color thinset they use behind it!

I love glass pencil tiles! The light blue looks like it has some pink tiles (maybe it is my computer). The darker one is beautiful as well. I agree that the floor looks like it has gold in it. I would look for a lighter tile for the floor (not to light, just a shade or two lighter), dark may make the room to dark. Theses are beautiful choices though!

I agree with blondelle - like #2, but would consider a different floor. Having said that, they are both beautiful!
