Preparing for Winter
Comments (30)Very nice! We don't get much snow in central Ohio. I miss our northern Ohio winters. Although this morning's temp of 20 felt good while walking to Tim's for coffee and laughs. Fans. Once the direction is figured out, use a marker to label the switch W/S. Fortunately mine has a remote to change direction and it's marked accordingly. Today's chores will be; remove and store window screens, clean window glass, cover and anchor patio furniture and lubricate the garage door hinges, rollers and tracks....See MoreFriday/Weekend Quiz
Comments (13)Oh boy, a chili dog for lunch today! ! I have no idea what Canadians do a few times mostly in the summer, maybe talk in an elevator? Take a bath? JUST KIDDING! ! ! ! ! :^) Rusty...See MoreFavorite quarantine lounge wear
Comments (46)I need to dress. A morning routine is very healthy for me. Up, exercise, shower, dress. If I fall out of that routine I can get cranky, and it can lead to depression. I also make it a habit to get outside as early in the day as possible, even for 5 minutes, It helps keep my body clock working. Several of you have mentioned wearing something because you are cleaning. Does anyone, other than me, use aprons? My granny would always make us put on a schmatta to work with her. I have bunches of them, and always throw one on when cooking, cleaning, gardening to protect my clothes, plus then if someone pops over(not likely during quarantine) I can just remove the apron and I am dressed nicely. I like the big wrap around style, below. See how the back is, so easy and comfortable! I make my gardening ones very full with oilcloth at the bottom where my knees will be in dirt...See MoreHave you ever named a house?
Comments (112)I'm wanting to name my farm - and hence, the house itself. I've still not settled on a name. I don't know that a pre-named house would be a selling point for me, unless it was truly creative / descriptive of a name. (If I didn't like the name on a house I decided to buy... I could always re-name...) Since I am raising chickens, someone suggested I call my place Ovalicious Farm. But I want to do so much more than eggs! I think, however, I will have a sign made that says Ovalicious Coop, to affix to the main hen house. Maire, I love your property!...See Moreannie1992
