please help! last minute advice needed! ;)

Hello!

I apologize for the last minute advice that is needed- whatever I can get will be greatly appreciated.

In less than 24 hours I need to have answers to cabinet guy who will be doing everything on a new build.

Questions:

1.) Serenity Air Bath - size is limited. my choices are Serenity 15, Serenity Studio 35, Serenity 32 MOTIF. All are Air Baths. Confused on Chromotherapy aspect. Hearing 2 different things... Is it standard or not? What is the Light Pkg (4 LED lights with control pad) extra 350. Looks like chromotherapy is standard on all, but then this "light pkg" part is getting me confused. Anyone have any advice or info on any of these units?

2.) Carrara Marble in bathroom a definite. Thinking of Carrara and Black Marble Basketweave on floor, All Carrara Marble on Counter, Steam Shower ???, Honed or Polished. Love the Glass looking knobs/pulls, love the sconce look at the Double sink area. Thinking Satin Nickel on Plumbing. Or should I do Chrome or Polished Chrome?

3.) What do you think of DISTRESSED, furniture style, beaded inset, looking Greyish Vanity (all cabinetry in here) I was originally thinking of a creamy white cab, but all the marble I am looking at has grey veining in it, and I really like the black in the basketweave for the floor. So, now I am thiking that maybe I should look at a greyish vanity ???? I do not want black. Or what do you think of a white distressed with glazing that it a darker grey? Anyone have any Grey Distressed Bath Vanity they would like to share would be great!

4.) Anything you can offer in way of advice, pics, comments, dos/donts of the master bath ????

My bath doesn't sound much like yours - I'm using Navaelli Carrara Star form Daltile and dark cabinets - but my cabinet pulls are gorgeous! I ordered Top Knobs- the Crystal Collection #TK128PC and they arrived last week. Pricey but beautiful. Can't wait to see them installed! I also am using Polished Chrome fixtures - I like the blue tone to them and the shine. I have satin nickel in my kitchen and it works and wears well. Can't comment on the rest but good luck!

Hi Helen, I will preface the following by saying I had someone help me with my colors, so take this with a grain of salt. I used sherwin williams colors as well, and spent a great amount of time on their website with their color visualizer. While all monitors distort color to some extent, I found it very helpful! I think that if you painted the niche of your fireplace with the brevity brown, since you are painting the rest of your room latte, that would be a lovely focal point of the room. Both of the colors are from the brown family and definitely would compliment each other. Go play with the color visualizer, I promise it will help you. I couldn't readily find pewter green on the strips, but it's there because when I searched it came up. Good luck! Amy

Best of luck with your remodel! Mine is in week six and heading into the homestretch! Things I hadn't thought of ahead of time that I wished I had - the lighting plan. Go to an lighting store with your layout and have them give you a recommendation on overhead and undercabinet lighting. There are so many options available today than just 6" cans. Also the color, location and orientation of the outlets, especially on the backsplash area. Paint color - took me 3 weeks to find a paint color I liked. Make sure you have extra trim - my contractor needed to use some extra trim molding so I had to order more which held things up. Also pick out your cabinet hardware and decide where you want to place them on the cabinets. As everyone said, take lots of pictures and get some earplugs! It can be very noisy at times! Good luck!

These are a couple chairs I really like. This is my favorite, but is this one too "grand" for an everyday eating area with my kids? It's a bit pricer too, but I like it a lot. My preference is the grey chair on the right. Thoughts? I really like this chair as well and it's very well priced, but I'm not sure if it's plush enough or the look I'd like. Our previous chairs were actually living room accent chairs and we really got into lounging and talking at the table long after dinner. Again, this grey is my color preference (far left), but they are only available in a charcoal grey (looks black in photo on the right, but one review says charcoal, not black). They may make my life easier with kids, but not my golden retriever! I question if the dark grey may be too harsh for our space though.

The first photo the floor tiles look too beige with the walls on my monitor. The second photo I do not like the black diamond pieces with your wall tile. The third photo I do not like the dark grey tiles. I am sorry, I know what it is like to be under the gun time wise. I think a white tile that matches your wall is best (like Sina originally suggested is best). Definitely NOT anything marble - ask me how I know :( You have to get the right tile or you will always be unhappy. The tiler can come back another day and you can live without the shower a little longer. If it is the tiler pressuring you then pay him a little extra for an additional trip after you have the right tile. You will always be happy you did.
