Compare 3 Browsers

I tried Chrome yesterday then did the following investigation.

I cleared out all with CCleaner. Then opened/closed 3 browsers in turn followed by CCleaner to see what turned up. I opened each browser 1) w/o going to any site 2) going to this forum w/o opening a post 3) this forum and opening one post.

All were initially opened to a blank page ie no home page. After each trial I ran CCleaner and recorded how much got cleaned out.

This table shows the result. Chrome seems to have a big appetite. I'm sure this will have a significant impact on everybodies' choice of browser. :-) I didn't use FF because I uh um well hate it. Well some people don't like chocolate sauce on their steaks either.

I always find non-scientific tests interesting and at times informative. My only question here right now is since you report IE6 are all the other browsers obsolete versions also? I ask as we can't compare apples and oranges.

Also, you can run CC, close it, open it, and run it again with a report appearing of some data found. Admittedly not the numbers you report though.

Perhaps CCleaner is able to better clean Chrome browser cached items more thoroughly - and that nearly 6mb maybe inaccessable to clean from the others .dat or user cache's.

If you look at Firefox Add-ons under Tools, it indicates that particular plug-in is not compatible with Firefox 3.5.2.

this is all info for AVAST the I ball that is beside the blue A ball you want to right click that and tell it to join the A ball, can not remember the terminology but it will just make one ball, you can also drag it onto the A ball to do that. You will need to change the proxy settings in your IE browser so that your web shield is working properly. here are the directions for how to do that Configuration of the Web Shield HTTP proxy If you bring up Avast screen with a regular left click then click details it will open up so you can see the various aspects, it should be set to High sensitivity then if you scroll down on the left to the web shield if you see no activiity and zero counted then you know you have to set up that proxy as instructed in my link, if you do not that part is not working and you want that to work. Following the directions is very very easy I have had to do it on all of mine.

Here is a link to Firefox and pages not loading properly. One of the many possible problems cited may be the add-ons and plug-ins but suggest you take the steps from the top. In your statement of your problem: 1-Error includes the word "chrome" and if that is Google's Chrome you might consider taking care of Chrome at least temporarily. (I avoid using Chrome because I am somewhat paranoid when it comes to Google and accusations of misuse of its data collection.) As to slowness of browsers, you might also look to make sure you do not have too many programs loading when you boot your computer. In my limited experience, 3G is often problematic. It's best not to use it unless you must, like in the car, or for those features which only work on 3G. It also saves you bandwidth to use wifi when available. It's possible that your 3G was running slow and timing out before the information made it to the site. Where I live, theoretically we have 3G on all networks and 4G on some, but in reality we're usually on the Edge network or equivalent, which makes it more or less impossible to use it for anything more than text email.

Scientific or no if you chart stuff up, plot it up or cross plot it, something interesting may show up.
