pop up window that keeps coming back

I keep getting a little pop up window (about 3"X3") in the middle of my screen and there's nothing on it but Warning on the upper top left corner

and a little box that says OK in it down towards the middle bottom;

and a little box to check that says: Do not show this message anymore. That's it. Nothing else is showing inside the box so I have no idea what it is or where it comes from. I've checked the box "do not show anymore" but it keeps coming back. I close it out with the x on right corner but the next time I do anything it comes back up. Nothing happens when I right or left click. Any suggestions on how to get rid of this thing. It's very annoying.

I'm using Win. Xp with IE 6.

Looks like someone changed an Item in Msconfig, place a check mark in the box again an reboot see if that stops it from showing.

let the sprouts grow enough to have small green leaves, then immediately paint the leaves and small trunks with a mixture of shrub & brush killer with diesel fuel. Mix the brush killer and diesel fuel in a small metal pail. Make sure to wear protective gloves and long sleeve shirt and long pants with your feet covered. Also it would not hurt to wear goggles. Keep brushing the mixture on the unwanted sprouts until it is used up. If you have any stumps which keep wanting to sprout, you can stop it if you recut the stump down to fresh wood, drill quite a few holes into the top of the stump and immediately paint the top of the stump along with any sides of that stump, which might be above ground, with the mixture of Brush and Shrub Killer and the diesel fuel. Try not to splash the mixture on yourself or any of your outer wear. When finished let the pail air dry before you rinse it with an abundant amount of water, or in a metal trash can with lid, just throw away the pail, if you prefer. After that throw your outer wear into the washer and set on a at least one rinse and spin cycle. While that is processessing shower of paying special attention to cleaning your face, hair, arms, legs, hands and feet. Do not rub your skin to dry when finished showering, instead pat dry. Once redressed in clean cloths, finish with washing all the outer wear that should by them be finsihed rinsing. When the washer is stopped from the washing, do not put any of the outer wear in the dryer. Instead hang all of the washed outerwear outside to air dry. IF all that sounds like too much, you can always also bag up all your outer wear, and instead of washing it just put it in the same metal trash can with a secure lid, Which I described above, put it out for trash pick-up

Hi guys, sorry for being a bit tarrdy in getting back to you, but I have been busy painting, in between trying to find out what caused this problem. What I have done so far is a couple of sytem restores which unfortunately,did not cure the problem. Checked the events log for errors or whatever, prior to using or after ccleaner. It shows "warning" re installer and "error" re, installer on the evening of 4th June. No details on what the warning or error is about? On the sytem restore, I went back to the 4th, June, in the morning. This puts everything back to where it was before these warnings etc, came up on the events log. Uninstalled Java and re-installed latest version......verifyed instal;lation...okay. Problem still there! There is no error message just the pop-up box with Windows Installer printed on a blue background along the top. Below is the message, "Preparing to install............. Below that in the bottom right corner is the cancel button. It does not ask that any action be taken or for a CD or anything else. It just sits there for around 20 seconds then drops out.Or it will drop out and come back up again two or three times. Each time it drops out, I can hear the hard drive "grunt". At least I think it is the hard drive thats "grunting"? [It can't be happy with this situation either!] As soon as it drops out for the last time the site or file that I had selected/clicked on comes up. It has me stumped! "Horton"

The great majority of tulips, not just species or Darwins, but very many garden hybrids will return reliably with certain caveats. Most essentially, like bearded iris, these bulbs need to be dry over summer, with preferably NO mulch but bare soil - despite growing at depth, the bulbs need to be baked all summer. They also hate, hate, hate wet winter soil. Essentially, if you can grow them on a sunny scree bed with no competition and well drained soil_ fertility is less an issue if sufficient sunlight falls on the leaves - most tulips will return. They often don't return in pots because they split off into daughter bulbs too readily, and they don't return in the ground if they do not get a full sun and very well drained environment. Mine are in a stony soil and are dressed with gravel, maintaining a lot of summer radiation. Having said that, not all tulips are equal. The least reliable have been the very large flowered Triumph types (but not the Fosteriana) and some of the late singles seem to be less reliable than early singles. parrots, viridiflora are so-so while lily-flowered have been very reliable for me. Best of all, even in pots, are species such as batalinii, clusiana, humilis and, my top favourite although rare, the late sprengeri (easier to grow from seed than to source expensive bulbs). True, my garden is a zone 8 sandy and stony open allotment in the UK but many clumps are over 15 years old - the ones I have lost have tended to be either overshadowed or thugged out by weeds and grass.I have never fertilised them, although I do top-dress the veggie beds (I grow a lot of tulips on the ends) with a compost topping (but not very rich in nutrients) but again, I do ensure the leaves are allowed to fully die back before removing or allowing other perennials to overshadow them. Perhaps less surprising, most of the older cultivars, which were bred from 'cottage' tulips - tend to have shorter stems, smaller flowers - are more reliable than some of the very large and blowsy doubles or modern varieties. They never come back when underplanting shrubs, or (unlike narcissi) in grass.

@ andrelaplume2 Not many people go to such serious lengths for a garage floor. And yes, thousands of dollars is just about right. Adding in moisture mitigation (stopping the ground salts from being brought up through the slab and then left on the surface after the water has evaporated off) after a slab has been poured is expensive/serious business. It is *possible that you can get a DIY level product down on the concrete....but you run the risk of full failure in a very short amount of time. Where you live, how old the slab is and how high the local water table sits (how close to the surface is the ground water...Florida and Louisiana are examples of REALLY HIGH water tables)? If you are simply trying to get rid of the salt deposits, it might just be easier to power wash every 6 months. It is cheap (cost of a sprayer) and easy and DIY friendly (just remember to wear safety toe shoes when working with 'real' power washers...re-attaching toes is not something you want to have to deal with at your local ER/hospital). A DIY level garage paint or Home Depot Epoxy kit have issues with adhesion if there is too much salt in/on the concrete, or motor oil, or tire rubber, etc. Even the DIY option requires ++++cleaning (with chemicals that require special clothing because it is caustic), then +++++rinsing (because the caustic chemicals are also bond breakers which means they absolutely must be removed = excessive rinsing. Then the concrete must dry (you will need to know how to measure concrete moisture levels) before applying the garage paint/Epoxy. And as I said before, concrete sealing specialists LOVE these DIY jobs. They give them SOOOOO much business they are worth as much as 25% of their yearly business.

are you on xp? if so try going to your event viewer and seeing if you have any flags showing up, Start> control panel> administrative tools> event viewer> there you will see some options like application, system etc click on each one individually and look to see if you see any red or yellow flags if you do double click directly on that item to get the info box there it will give you info on what is triggering the flag it will have an event id number too you can google that info to find out more.

No flags in event viewer. I ran an avast scan.
When the box comes up I noticed a Menu button that wasn't there before right under File (left corner); and when I opened it I saw

it sounds like when you installed AVG you did the full install including the rather troublesome toolbar that is what it sounds like is causing your problem. Try going into your browser and look for an add on that is related to AVG toolbar and disable it.

Didn't even know I had AVG. Thought I uninstalled it. When I did a search it showed 64 files related to AVG on my computer. When I removed it from my programs I assumed it was all gone but I guess I was wrong.
Thanks for the help. I'm going to do a complete uninstall. Hope this gets rid of that annoying pop-up.

heidiho there is an AVG removal tool you probably want to run it after doing your removal to make sure it is all gone.

Pop up is gone!!! Every trace of AVG is gone and so is the popup. I've tried different things so not sure what worked but just wanted to thank you all again for the help. I would not have known where to start without the advice.
