Charlene, Please be patient with W7 as it is a fine O/S and you are certain to eventually become comfortable with it. I am going to guess that XP was your first computing experience, and you climbed the mountain of learning once before hoping never to have to do it again. Well, every new O/S brings different experiences so we all have to live with the changes. As the release of W8 is on the horizon we will all have to go through some adaptation again. Change is inevitable as progress prevails. Hang it there as you will do fine. I don't know a thing about Live Mail as I don't use it. Grams I assume you mean Mozilla Thunderbird. Never used it much but if you reply to an email then normally attachments are removed, no point sending back attachments and wasting bandwidth. When you click Forward do inserted images appear or if attachments do they show as still there at the top before you hit the Send button? Do you experience this with multiple addresses or just one or two but always the same ones? If it is the same ones perhaps there security settings are set to not allow images.

Grady the answer can be either depending on how the recipient has his or her computer set up. They will certainly get the attachment which requires a double click to open but if their settings are similar to yours and mine they will see those pictures below the email. Send an email with attachment to yourself and see what arrives. In your case it should be the attachment and the picture below the text
